San Diego, California
The property was walking distance from the valley park and in gaslamp so it was close to lots of good eats and fun attractions. The spa tub was the best part of our room definitely used it 3 times during my stay.
I didn’t like that they charge $65 for parking. You’d think that would just come with your room especially since it’s down town and there is no parking. They said self parking is on the street, but why would I come to your establishment to park my car blocks away.
Manteo, North Carolina
The room was comfortable, and the hotel was only a quarter mile walk from the fireworks show being held at Manteo.
The backroom parking area in the back of the hotel doesn't drain well, with heavy rains, so make certain you have a backup pair of shoes in the event a couple of inches of water occurs.

I like the staff in the office nice and friendly. I also like that it's quiet.
In my room the bath tub faucet was broken and there was no handrail or rubber mat on bottom of the tub. I slipped and fell hurt my ribs and my leg pretty bad. I tried to speak with the people in the office in the morning and the office was closed but it said it was open from 8:00 to 10:00 and it was not so I didn't get to speak to anybody before I had to leave.

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
