Green Valley Lake, California
The cabin is very well renovated and taken care of. The temperature inside of the house is very comfortable, and the location is super pretty with amazing views of the sky. The cabin had very good amenities and extras like board games. It was a great spot to get away on a road trip and felt very homey and private, despite the lack of curtains. The lake and neighborhood is very pretty and quaint and is perfect for going out on walks. Keep in mind there’s not much food in the area and the driveway is steep, but we were able to get along just fine on a low clearance vehicle during non-snowy weather
Some amenities are not well maintained (TV remotes didn’t have batteries, laundry machine had goop in the detergent drawer, upstairs toilet water needed to be manually turned off whenever not in use) — Vacasa housekeeping feels like they’re rushing you as they park right next to you for a few hours on the day of checkout. — Occasionally you’ll also be woken by wildlife in the area, which is to be expected.

It is a lovely location with a bit of history too. The building has the uniqueness you would expect from a time when if you built it it was yours. The new plants by the patio are very nice wish I could come back to the different flowers in bloom.
Lavender, lots of lavender. In the light of day I could see all the plants around the parking lot. Too be fair they are drought tolerant, and gore with little to no care once established in this area. And a fire safe option. I should have asked before I confirmed the stay.

The bunk bed rooms are nice for big families. It was clean and they gave new towels everyday.
For the price and the offerings breakfast should of just been included. They didn't have or couldn't find a first aid kit for ac accident that happened at the pool.

Poor room upkeep. This is an old motel that was good in it day. But time has taken a toll on the room with little upkeep. Soiled bath towels left behind bath room door by housekeeping were a turnoff. Parking had very narrow spaces, presumably to increase the number of spots. Too expensive for what was delivered.

The room smelled like an old lake camp, (old damp musty) Had 1 channel on tv. Called 3 times was told she would come fix it but did not. Bed was hard and creaked bad. Breakfast was just fare and saw Roaches on the floor, was told they need to spray.

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
