The complex has nice shared amenities like the pool and gym. Overall the apartment was clean and had a decent layout.
When we arrived, the toilet was stopped up. I contacted management immediately, but it was over 12 hours before they responded, which was with a plunger from the dollar store that was so flimsy it kept turning inside out. The worst thing was the unit's location. It's on the ground floor, right off the parking lot and building entrance which is a heavy metal door that slams closed all day and night long! Also, every night, people would yell at their friends or stand and talk right outside the bedroom window (sounds like they are in the room) well past 3AM. It was impossible to sleep in this place. There were also bugs despite the unit's cleanliness that I imagine came in from the bushes outside. My final straw was when we awoke to my son having bites all over. When I informed the management that we were leaving early and listed the issues we had, they simply thanked me for my feedback. No offer of refunds for even the unused portion of the stay or anything else to make up for the incredibly poor experience. The cabinet with the trashcan in it was also broken so wouldn't open properly, but that was just a minor nuisance on top of everything else.

The room i paid for in advance and booked was not available upon arrival. I paid for the best king suite with extras in the room with fireplace and jacuzzi. I ended up with none of that!!! Instead I just got a king suite which was only half of what I was expecting and paid for. How can they do that??? Not happy but stuck in the situation. They did not offer anything extra to make up for their oversight and mistake. Probably would not stay again or recommend to friends and family.

Breakfast was fine. Typical hotel fare, well stocked. Hotel staff was very friendly. Location was 100 yards from my business meeting location.
The room we booked had a very badly stained mattress. We complained to the front desk, and they immediately offered us another room. This one was stained too, but not as badly. It appears they do not use mattress protectors in their bedding. As it was very late when we checked in, we decided to stay. Staff was very apologetic. But, the room they gave us was not as nice, and we feel they could have given us a discount. Also, both rooms had damage to the bathroom fixtures; minor, but Hilton used to be higher end...

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
