We enjoy this place. Safe, great location, great staff. Wish the place was more updated. Rooms have a bit of a bad smell. But its a good place to stay for the value. All we really do is sleep and shower. We have been here several times and will return

The staff were friendly and nice. They were trying to make us feel like we were in a nice hotel. Bathroom in the units were the best part of the room. They had been partially updated. The room was clean as best we could tell.
The facility itself was old and not renovated. It was just worn out. The rooms smelled. Carpets were old. Beds were old, linens were old. There were no bugs. Next to the building was an old abandoned building that was trashed big time. We jokingly called it the local Crack house. That's what it felt like staying there. Sorry but this place needs some serious help

Hotel location in Eagle River. Close to grocery stores and shopping. Nice coffee shops nearby.
Room was never cleaned while we were staying at the hotel. The tub wasn't draining; I notified the front desk and was told it would be fixed but no one ever did anything. Breakfast selections limited.

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
