The staff was very friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean, the bed pillows and mattresses were comfortable, clean, double lined, and fresh. The air conditioner cooled the hot summer temperatures down nicely, and it was everything I expected of a motel 6- No frills but ideal for an overnight stop and shower in the morning.
Actually the only complaint that I have is the front doors are extremely hard to push open much less hold open as you're trying to maneuver your luggage cart in and out. Other than that, it met my expectations for a quickie overnight stay.

My room was very clean very nice the bed was comfortable I enjoyed being able to watch Turner classic movies that's my favorite station it's the only one I watch so I'm always happy when I find it in my hotel excellent customer service

The rooms were quite dated, windows need screens. Musty smells. The breakfast was lacking working equipment, waffle maker, juice machine, coffee urn.

It’s a motel and not a hotel. I didn’t like that it was outdated. But the place is clean. I still wouldn’t stay there again though even though nothing was wrong. I just prefer hotels.

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

Breakfast is good, the other food is very standard but their kitchen is tiny and they were super honest and suggested where else we could eat which was appreciated! Really exceptional place, staff, location - everything!”

“This is one of our favorite B&Bs of all time. The communication with Carla was outstanding and she is very friendly and helpful upon arrival. Inside, the space is immaculate and spacious. The bed is one of the more comfortable we've ever had, and the innovative breakfast delivery system is very convenient. The breakfast is plentiful, varied, and delicious. The outdoor space allocated to the B&B is manicured with fruit trees and a nice seating area. Parking is right by the entrance. Very conveniently located for our needs connecting with local family. Just a perfect place to stay.”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
