Breakfast was not an offering. We had our own food and ate watching the lovely lake and enjoyed the glow of the morning sun. The Staff went above and beyond. Missy is awesome. They may not want us back! She did a boat rescue, uhh hubby dumped out of the kayak,, wind played a trick and floated it away... I thought they would snap his photo and hang it on the wall of shame but she was so nice about it. Lesson learned, kayak in the morning on the glassy lake. Next time! Bon fire and Cornhole awesome. Oh smores kit too!
The fixtures are lovely and attention to detail is spot on. My only teeny tiny complaint is the shower...the water pressure was super low. The shower is really large so I had to walk to the soap dispenser then come back to the water which was so low I was cold, rinse, soap, walk repeat, kind comical

Excellent stay! Spacious and elegant room with a breathtaking view from the 39th floor. Staff was very professional and attentive. Everything exceeded my expectations — I would definitely stay here again

Convenient for all our group. Central location. Well lit property at night. Housekeeping met our needs each day.
Parking is limited but manageable. Rm 14 shower door needs repairs. Leak is causing damage to the floor.

The room was huge and had updated appliances
They changed how much they charged me without telling me. Adding a pet fee for a pre arranged ESA. The lady helped remove the fee. I also was not informed of the additional vehicle fee when I was given the second window flyer for it. It just showed up on my bill. Honestly the evening lady with long dark hair isn’t very welcoming or communicative. She’s not rude but not quite hospitable. Not sure if it was because we didn’t look like the usual guests or what but we felt like we were being watched when we took the dog to the bathroom. The early morning lady with curly orange hair was amazing.

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
