I just loved how clean everything was as far as the bathroom and our room. Usually I can always find something that's wrong, but I have to admit this is the first time ever that I did not find anything. GREAT JOB!!!

Wonderful option to enjoy live music downstairs. Room was nice and clean. Like the option to book a double room with just one more person.
Last night of my stay someone from reception checked in a new guest in my room on my bed when they were still occupied by me, so I should to move to a new room which doesn’t make any sense. The new guest should be checked in just in a room where they have availability without moving me. The inconvenience should be compensate by a refund for one night as the young man at reception promised. This never happened even after my check out and attempt to contact property by this platform without any answer days later.

A few issues: television in the 2nd bdrm was on HBO, could not change channels and did not see instructions. Only 3 pool towels were in the room, we had a total of 3 adults, 5 kids and 1 baby. The shower door did not seal at the bottom. Entry door did not close easily, had to be slammed to close.

The location was close enough to work, a local hospital, that I could drive there in only a few minutes. Despite being close to other things, it is removed from the main streets that's are too busy, so it felt private. The size of the room and bathroom were what I had expected and both appeared clean. Minimal interactions with staff, but the ones I had were very pleasant and made me smile. They have a great forward facing staff there, polite and helpful, but REAL and NOT that sickly sweet over the top friendly fake stuff. Super easy and quick check in/ check out1

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
