So much fun for kids and adults alike. More than enough space. Great value! Outstanding attention to detail. So much to explore for our little Harry Potter lovers. Host responds fast. We will stay again.
We loved everything! My only minor disappointment was the battery powered candles throughout the home (for that candlelit ambiance)that have remotes to power on ALL need new batteries, so we weren’t able to take advantage of those. I’m sure the host would have helped, but it wasn’t bothersome enough to send a message.

The only thing they have there is cereal. The first day we stayed there wasn’t even any milk. There was only four bananas dry cereal. Nothing else I hit the bell and ask him if they had any more muffins or anything I said no no muffins nothing then the second day There was a little bit of coffee, some milk in the little refrigerator, a dozen eggs, and a Walmart sack in the refrigerator but nowhere to cook them or anything to do with them. The only thing in that freezer besides milk and orange juice was butter. If you counted on them for breakfast, you would not be able to have anything to eat oh and there was only two bananas left the next day
There was no coffee pot in your room. There was nothing to get ice and I don’t have a clue if there was even an ice machine two plastic cups I guess to get water out of a faucet the bathroom was clean.

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

Breakfast is good, the other food is very standard but their kitchen is tiny and they were super honest and suggested where else we could eat which was appreciated! “This is one of our favorite B&Bs of all time. The communication with Carla was outstanding and she is very friendly and helpful upon arrival. Inside, the space is immaculate and spacious. The bed is one of the more comfortable we've ever had, and the innovative breakfast delivery system is very convenient. The breakfast is plentiful, varied, and delicious. The outdoor space allocated to the B&B is manicured with fruit trees and a nice seating area. Parking is right by the entrance. Very conveniently located for our needs connecting with local family. Just a perfect place to stay.”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
