I liked the price . The room itself was very comfortable and very clean. It is old and outdated but safe and no one bothered me . Non smoking is a good thing. I had a good experience. Overall if it’s a quick stay or just need a place to sleep this place will work . Yes Ice and air conditioning.
No amenities at all. The hallways are a bit scary . Building is run down. Looks quite questionable in regards to safety but I was fine. Had a smell . No fridge or microwave. My key card reader didn’t work so I had to keep calling them to let me in my room .

Wonderful staff. I loved the hot tub and the pool with a bar. Also, the o site restaurant was fabulous. Food is nothing exceptional but staff and service was so great.
The property is dated. However the price was lower than average and I didn't feel like I was sacrificing anything.

There was an issue with one elevator down but this is very common in NYC

The location was perfect .The rooms were nice and clean .Housekeeping came in daily to make the beds and refresh the towels .
The breakfast.It was good but definitely would of been nice to have some more options , or even a waffle maker would of been nice

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
