The hotel itself was great! I somehow booked with the air bnb side which was absolutely horrible. The pillows were yellow, old and smelled like foul body odor. There was mold in the shower and all over the shower curtain. No iron or closet hangers. The management team never replaced the any of the dirty or missing items. They did offer to enter the room to replace them, however it was at a time that I could not be at the property and with no safe in the room, I did not feel comfortable allowing someone to enter the room without me present. They would not allow me to break the stay and receive a refund. I ended up purchasing pillows, a shower curtain and a steamer on my own at my own expense. It was NOT a good experience.
The Airbnb side had terrible service.

I liked that they provided golf cart services to take you to & from the beach/pools.
Our patio door would not lock without someone pushing it in at the top. Maintenance came up and looked at and said, well you are only going to be here for a few days, and, that was it. While he was there I showed him that the doorstop at the entry door was broken, he looked at it, that was it. I called the operator for towels several times, I finally tracked down the housekeepers and got my towels from them, because, no one ever showed up. Ice machines were broken. No towels at the pool. Do Better Marriott!

The noise from the establishment below the my room until passed 1 am and the receptionist was not very friendly and was impatient with me when I was trying to look up The booking reference. The room rate was very high and not for this category of hotels the equivalent to high end hotel in London. I complainant about the noise and the receptionist gave me an additional hour to checkout and coffee vouchers. I never got the coffee vouchers!!

Location is good and pool was good.
Rooms were not clean. Very disappointed in the smell coming from other rooms into our room. For being a non smoking facility people just don't care. Had to unclog toilet myself, was given a plunger in a bucket. Just not a comfortable stay. Seems like the owners and staff just dont care.

2nd time I stayed here. BREAKFAST FOOD COLD. Eggs hot. Sausage cold, Tater Tots mushy and cold. Out of muffins at 9am on Sat. Labor Day weekend? Coffee weak. Empty crock pot where gravy might be. This time and year ago same issues. Management probably does not understand health code. Overall bad except bed was ok. $122 nite plus tax is not a cheap rate for this area. Red mark in my phone for future. Sorry

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
