The full size refrigerator was wonderful. I also loved that there were 2 rooms and that each of them had a comfortable bed. The pool was beautifully lit at night. the balcony on the other side of the room was a nice touch.
The elevator made comming and going slightly more difficult, the television occassionally took some time to warm up and work clearly, the water in the pool was really cold.

Love the location especially the looking and listening to the river each day staff is always friendly, we’ve stay each year and this was year 6.
There was nothing I didn’t like, only wish to have a room with a front window .

The location was great. Close enough to the attractions but far enough from the traffic and congestion
I didn't realizecwhen i booked that there would be so many steps. The posted pictures are deceiving. The steps are not listed in the property description. We are seniors, and it was a bit difficult to navigate.

The expensive room was loud, we got no sleep with the bed right next to the hallway. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The shower had little to no pressure.

This hotel website shows rooms that are different from the actual room that I received. The description on the website was incorrect . Please be careful if you want to book this hotel. The parking is not free like they mentioned in the website.

“So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

“I really enjoyed my stay. The cottages are new, it's clear they were built recently. They are within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable. It's also very nice that there are automatic blinds on the windows, so you can sleep in complete darkness in the morning. Additionally, each cottage has a shared kitchen.”
