The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

      Great location. Right off the water. The back deck area is very cozy. There is a grill and lounge chairs. There is also a 2nd bathroom, which is just a toilet but it's a nice thing to have. Close to a grocery store and the beach. The kitchen was well stocked so it made cooking and grilling easy (we didn't have to eat out every night). The couch was comfy and the TV was pretty large so it was easy to snuggle up and watch a movie at night or when it was rainy outside.

      The place needs a deep clean. All the fans and vents were covered in thick dust. I cleaned off the bedroom AC vent as much as possible because I didn't want to breathe that and never used the bedroom fan. I also killed 1 roach in the kitchen. Also suggest new bedroom pillows and possibly a mattress soon. The bed was really uncomfortable.

      The hotel is beautiful, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. It was a one-night stay because we were on our way to the beach. It's an excellent choice for a stay, and we'd love to come back later.

      The pool opens at 11 a.m., which seemed very late to me. The children couldn't enjoy swimming in it.

      Air-conditioning was stuck on low cool, and the room was freezing cold. The only way i could change it was to unplug it. The toilet seat was loose. I tightened the plastic screw twice to keep from sliding right. Also, I always check for bed bugs. There weren't any, but I found a piece of chocolate between the mattresses. Lastly, the doors slam very loudly.

      The place was beautiful and spacious, location was great right in the middle of everything and just a few blocks from the beach. Owner was very nice and very easy to work with. Was able to communicate with them on any issues which we didn’t have any but was glad to know she was a call away.
