The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  This day at this hotel was not the greatest at all. First of all the codes to get in the door was a nightmare. If you got nails please do not stay at this motel everywhere you go you have to put in Long codes which is a disaster especially if you have nails. The bathtub was stopped up when it came time to take a shower. The maintenance man came in with a toilet plumber a total disaster. I will not recommend this place at all

  I loved the proximity to the downtown area. It was close to everything including the highway. There are many hotels in the area but the closeness to everything was very convenient.

  The beds. This place is too convenient for the beds to be so horrible. It took my family three entire days to recover from the back pain.

  The pier and restaurants and how close other things were with in walking distance

  There was only 1 bed and a sleeper sofa..... And the fact that it was not mention on booking.com that there was a step out balcony so it was only room enough for 1 person to stand at door at a time could not sit and enjoy the ocean in the am and pm We had to gather our dirty towels and linens for the maids and had to bag our trash and place out at the trash can.......no maid service while we there we had to go get clean towels and thwn had to basically clean the room before we left.....I thought that's what the maids got paid for and no our room was not trashed just generally dirty after a beach stay. The freezer had a awful order as well.
