Typical hotel breakfast, which is pretty much the same throughout all hotel chains at this mid-level pricing. At least the food was at appropriate temperatures. The room was clean, for the most part. The morning staff at my check out time was very friendly, as was most of the staff working the food service.

There was only light roast coffee in the cafe area. I had to walk out into the lobby if I wanted dark roast or decaf. Seating is arranged so that some people can get "trapped" in their seating if they are near the window. Although the seating area is limited, it seemed that an improved seating arrangement can be made. I didn't like the lack of smoker's stands around the side doors. The smoking area in front also seemed to be set so as to force guests to walk through smoke when entering and exiting the front door.

The best part of the facilities was the staff. I interacted with three staff members (“KateLee” by phone and Christina (sp?) and a gentleman in person, and they were all great—helpful and good communicators.

Nothing significant—as a senior, I could have used a night lite in the bathroom (for sleep interruptions), but that is a very minor issue.

I liked the convenience to the beach and area. Liked the beach bar and atmosphere outside. Great for families with kids.

The value for the price I paid is not good. Too expensive for the room quality & amenities. Parking was expensive and we were not told that after check out, which was too early, we could not keep the car there for the remaining of the day until checkout time. That's when I was told that parking would be $20/hour for keeping the car there.
