- “Diamond Beach Resort is located in Ao Nam Mao, so it is a little bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang Beach and Railay Beach. To us this was a bonus because the resort was peaceful and relaxing and those attractions were located near enough to easily visit. The ferry to Railay Beach is a short 5 minute walk away and Ao Nang Beach is about a 10 minute drive. We rented a motorbike for ~ 8 USD per day and easily went back and forth between destinations. The staff here is fabulous! Very kind and friendly, and always more than happy to assist with questions about sightseeing, finding restaurants and places to go, arranging transportation, etc. The little beach cottages are very cute and well equipped with air conditioning, showers, and a mini fridge. A beautiful oasis to return to cool off and relax.”

  Everything was good, I got there really late by not knowing that there was no taxis at the airport at 1:00am. A young man named Brian was awesome helping my heavy luggage to upstairs/no elevator and very friendly, kind. Breakfast was fine for me bagels, croissants scrambled baked egg, instant oatmeal and drinks. I don't eat much. I didn't have time to use, but swimming pool looks clean and heated, Jacuzzi hot tub looks inviting and opened 24hs. Most importantly the room and bathroom was clean, bed was comfy, shower had good water pressure, had refrigerator, microwave, all I needed. Thank you for your help, Brian!

  One small thing: The window blind needs to replace for I see the bottom part was broken, cheap quality I could see inside when I lowered myself to look in to see. So, I tried to fix, but I couldn't. Just turned lights off and wearing properly until checked out.

  Very convenient! Small and cozy. It had everything I needed. The location was excellent. I took many walks to cute places around and rented a bike using my cellphone to go to farther places. I noticed that the towels were new, and they got a kit with a toothbrush and paste for me! That was very kind.

  The hotel was quiet, the bed very comfortable and I slept well. Good shower head, but…

  The elevator didn’t work, the pool was not open, the stairwells hadn’t been vacuumed, the shower head had to be held by hand (holder was broken), and there was a rather jagged piece of metal by the bathroom door that must have been a mount for a hair dryer, which wasn’t there.

  Check in and out was straightforward.

  The place was loud. Next door neighbor was carrying on a three hour drug deal/phone call while yelling, to overcome the noise of the cop show he was watching at high volume. Called front desk at 11 pm (hour #3) and he said nobody was making noise, because no one was in that room. Painful. Next day, mariachi music in the parking lot from a couple of guys smoking weed below my room playing out of their portable speaker. The area was fine. The place was terrible.
