While the Rio boasts some positives, be aware of its drawbacks. Some of the staff can be rude, which adds an unpleasant element to the stay. The off-Strip location may not be ideal for easy access to the heart of Vegas action. The pool area is fine for families or a casual dip, but it's not a luxurious highlight. Lastly, the gym, while functional, feels dated. If top-notch amenities, a wide array of high-end restaurants, and consistently friendly service are priorities, consider alternatives. That said, if a spacious room is your top priority, the Rio is a decent option, especially for business trips or those paying with points, as prices can get expensive for what it is.

The Rio Hotel & Casino offers a mixed experience. The rooms are undeniably spacious, great for business travelers or groups and a good value if booked with Hyatt points or well in advance. The hotel prioritizes guest safety but be prepared for inconveniences related to this, like the security escort needed for duplicate room keys. The food court offers a few options, with the sushi being a surprising standout for both quality and price. Unfortunately, the Mexican and ramen restaurants don't quite live up to expectations. Additionally, ongoing renovations and high occupancy can sometimes lead to disruptions.

I've stayed a few times at Days Inn now and have had great experiences so far. Days Inn has become my go to hotel when I'm visiting San Diego. The rooms are comfortable and I sleep well in their beds, everything is clean and the water pressure in the shower is perfect. I'm usually in town for a concert and love the fact that Days Inn in centrally located to other parts of San Diego. Thanks again!!

Breakfast-yogurt from the dispenser was delicious! Cappuccino machine, waffles, eggs and sausages. Bed was comfortable, not too firm but not soft either…just right. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of food options within walking distance and a Starbucks. Clean well lit property.

Would have preferred bacon or ham…. Parking lot was pretty full, got a better spot 2nd night.

Super close to the Madonna Inn (easily walkable), a great budget option if attending any event taking place there! Also adjacent to an open space preserve with great hiking/biking trails. Staff were friendly, responsive & helpful. Room was as described & clean.

View from the rooms is just parking lot & Denny's which is a shame since the property is right up against beautiful hills/trails.

I mostly appreciated the location of it, being that it was right next to a 24 hour gas station in case me and my friend needed anything. And the staff were really really nice.

The smell throughout the halls and the room was terrible, we had to buy some air refreshener, and the under the plastic mattress cover there were so many dark stains, it was crazy.

Whoever was in the room above me was running and stomping back and forth 8 pm to 1 am. The room next to mine had the tv on LOUD til after midnight. The bathroom? The door is so close to the toilet there’s barely room to open door. I had to come in, stand next to sink, close the door to get to toilet and the shower. I’m 5 ft tall, 130 lbs.… that being said I would never stay here again. This hotel needs serious updating, paint.

My key keep getting deactivated every night I had to go get new heat which made me feel uncomfortable leaving my stuff in the room, my bathroom had roaches n a lot of bugs which didn’t make sense since they said it was a new updater remolded room Very dissatisfying

Parking “first come, first serve” is not fair to paying guests & better signage with hospital directions should be posted. Prices are high.
