- “Diamond Beach Resort is located in Ao Nam Mao, so it is a little bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Ao Nang Beach and Railay Beach. To us this was a bonus because the resort was peaceful and relaxing and those attractions were located near enough to easily visit. The ferry to Railay Beach is a short 5 minute walk away and Ao Nang Beach is about a 10 minute drive. We rented a motorbike for ~ 8 USD per day and easily went back and forth between destinations. The staff here is fabulous! Very kind and friendly, and always more than happy to assist with questions about sightseeing, finding restaurants and places to go, arranging transportation, etc. The little beach cottages are very cute and well equipped with air conditioning, showers, and a mini fridge. A beautiful oasis to return to cool off and relax.”

  The home was as described. The home is well appointed with everything we needed to cook and be together or apart. The home is such that the bedrooms felt separated and the living space was airy. The heating system is wonderfully fast (if you are there in the winter)! The home was overall quite clean, lights well labelled, and the kitchen was easy to move about in. Being a multi-story home with a separated downstairs unit (basically) meant plenty of room and privacy for everyone. It was quite spacious for us. The neighborhood was very peaceful for walking, and it was conveniently located for town and freeway - and only a few mins drive over to restaurants, groceries, etc. Overall, the home was quite clean and well-kept. Vacasa and the local Manager were overall quite helpful and responsive during the circumstances of us getting the door locks sorted (see below). The back patios were nice and one led down to the back yard. It is a quiet, calming setting.

  Door entry system: The door entry could be smoother, though the local Manager got it sorted with us. Apart from the code needing to be reset, the door lock system itself we found a bit tricky at first. Overall a minor thing. Wifi/connectivity: The wifi was basically non-existent - VERY unstable throughout our stay, when it could be connected to at all, and none of our phone services had a very good reception in the home, so if you need to stay connected, this was a problem for us. Back yard: If you have a dog coming with sensitive paws, the back yard was made up of quite sharp rocks throughout, so it was not so comfortable for ours to walk around on. Maybe yours won't care.

  Staying in covered wagon was a different experience. Campground was quiet, beautiful & convenient to town. Owners were friendly & helpful. Enjoyed those private HEATED shower rooms. Great to enter a warm shower area especially when it's cold outdoors. Warm anytime of the day & night. Not like other places we have stayed where showers rooms are COLD. Enjoyable stay. Would like to return and stay in a teepee.

  The availability of a golf cart is appreciated and much needed but I think $50 per day to rent it only to travel to and from parking lot & campsite was a little excessive. We enjoyed those 2 private heated shower rooms. Wasnt a busy time of the year but when more campers are there separate restrooms will be needed. Ones separate from showers, simple restroom facilities. At times a toilet is all that's needed.
