The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  They didn't make any more they said breakfast was at 9 am we all went down and there was nothing but waffles and nobody was making anymore food so we ended up having to go somewhere and pay to eat

  Was expecting a room with a bath tub and it was a shower with the curtain that didn't fit so water would go everywhere , plus there's was a garbage can by the back door over flowing on the ground with bees and liquid going all over in front of the back door where we would go in at from parking out back , and we couldn't have any breakfast in the morning because there was none and we came down at 9 like they said , the staff would rather sit and watch TV at night then do anything , plus there was no snack bar so we had to leave the hotel to get snacks because they had no amenities available overall it wasn't great.

  I liked the fact that the hotel was clean, the pool was nice, and parking wasn't too bad.

  There were 2 customers ahead of me when I checked in. The first person/couple were asked if they preferred a certain floor, and then the second guy received directions to the best elevator to use to get to his room. I proceeded to check in, and I was asked if I would be requiring housekeeping. There was an elevator directly across from my room, this would have been nice to know. The ice machine next to my room was out of order the entire time. The furniture was outdated and stained. The bathroom was extremely small, nothing like the one advertised when I booked the room.

  The whole experience of this stay. Rude staff, stained sheets, dirty bathroom. The whole room and bathroom were covered in Black mold and I woke up sick. I’m still sick 5 days later. It was late when we checked in and went straight to sleep. I woke up and told my wife I did not feel good and neither did she. I went to take a good hot shower and discovered the bathroom was nasty and covered in black mold. The whole room is covered in black mold. Floors ceiling bathroom walls literally everything. I told the front desk and they did not care one bit. I told them they are going to kill someone
