- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  The tub had some stain spots and I got my own clorox wipes to clean it out but it wasn't removable. Need reflectors by the entrance on the road so that you don't miss the gate. Loved having an ice machine in the room. Beds were very comfortable.

  I booked the room for 4 guest to stay in the room. I had a 5th friend with me that was not staying with us, only to get dressed with the ladies in the room for the event and she and her boyfriend had another room in Little Rock. The night manager man and woman said that if she stepped into the room that I would not get my $25 deposit which I believe is totally unfair to me considering the hours we drove to get there. Ended up having to go find another room which was terrible all together and we were late for the event we had tickets for. The night staff was very unfriendly to us upon arrival and there were no bathrooms available for us to use when we got there other than in the booked rooms. So we stood there 10 minutes top wiggling while he did the check in only for us to not stay at the booked room and had to receive a refund by same payment.
