The Inn is centrally located in the center of town - far enough away from the marina to avoid the noise, but close to everything in town. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was sizable. There was a nice deck where guests could sit and observe the comings and goings from the local brewery. The kitchen facility had tables where families/groups could congregate to play board games, etc.

The Inn is not well marked (it's not marked AT ALL!) so we had difficulty locating it upon arrival and there was no one facilitating check-in (or check-out, for that matter). The check-in time posted on Booking.com was until 7pm; the property manager called at 4:15pm, and expressed his displeasure that we weren't checking in until after 6pm (we were traveling on tow separate flights to arrive at the final destination). There is no elevator - only stairs - and no lower level to the Inn. Because one of the windows in our room did not open, the room got very stuffy (there is no air conditioning or fans available). There is only the half mirror in the bathroom, no other (full length) mirror in the room. The lightbulb in the nightstand lamp was incredibly dim - did not provide enough light to read in bed. Breakfast time was stated as "7am - 8am"; however, when we arrived at the kitchen at 7:05am, the host was just starting to prepare breakfast (we had an engagement at 7:30am, so we couldn't stay and wait for something to be prepared). Also, there was no hot water for tea, packaged oatmeal, etc. There were no instructions on how to check-out...

My niece came up and stayed at the same place we were at but she had roaches crawling around her headboard and walls. She left. I asked that we not have our room cleaned while we stayed there as I didnt want staff in my room, but the came in while we were gone anyways. We lost our TV access and they told us we could move to another room but did not want to risk getting a room with bugs. They finally came to fix the tv the day before we left. Our toilet continuously stopped up and wouldnt flush without a plunger most of the time. The location is not that great, constant traffic with IN and OUT across the street. The beach is not walking distance as there are train tracks and bridges in between. Not a good location.

I didn’t feel comfortable and felt discriminated by the front desk people the way they treated us! They wouldn’t let us back inside when we went out to put our stuff in our car before we checked out!

AC, pillows/bed were horrible. (Kept getting ERR on thermostat.) Fridge froze everything. One elevator broken entire stay. Hotel never responded about bereavement rates. There were always “wet floor” signs out. Price was high for what we got.

There is no mini bar fridge to keep food and drink. On three occasions I asked for a bucket of ice cubes: the 1st time I had to wait for so long to be served, the 2nd one - the staff who served seemed so unhappy to be at work, the last occasion a staff was happy to serve. I got charged twice for the same booking, which is not good. While the hotel refunds the transaction, I am worse off by $38AUD due to conversion fee imposed by my credit card company for this error made by the hotel.
