The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  It was easy to find right off the freeway. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and everything was in the room that we needed. Since we were coming back a few days later, we were able to keep the suitcases that we didn't need in the hotel until we returned, so that was convienent.

  Because the hotel is directly next to the freeway, it was fairly loud at times when there was a lot of traffic. Since we were only there for one night, it was alright, but staying any longer than that would probably be too much. There were earplugs in the room, but only one set.

  The photos are nothing like the actual rooms. The room we walked into I genuinely thought was someone else’s and they gave us the wrong room. The coffee table was dirty with white paper plate like paper stuck to the top and was crooked in the center of the room. The stains… oh gosh the stains on the rug, the couch looked like a murder scene. We checked the bed for bedbugs and noticed blood-like stains on the corner of mattress. I don’t even want to know what the rest of the mattress looked like… there was dog hair throughout the entire room and we found pieces of dog kibble on the floor. Bugs on the walls and the bathroom door would not shut. We checked in at 3:00, changed for the wedding we had to attend and then checked out immediately. The discomfort in my gut that I felt when walking into that room told me not to “suck it up and stay”. We tried speaking to someone at the front desk, when we walked in the lobby a woman was sitting in the chair and rolled her eyes when we walked in. She then exclaimed that every time she sits down someone walks in or the phone rings and that she’s tired. She did nothing to help our situation but said she would speak to a manger. We ended up eating the $135 for the room and never heard anything else.

  My stay at brown county Inn was a nice stay, I enjoyed the Activities. Putt Putt. Connect four. Corn hole. shuffle board. Horseshoe. volleyball. Nice swimming pool. The room was clean. the Food. was good. Had a nice trail that led to town.
