- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  This is my go to place when I go to Maui. The restaurant is great and the staff is always friendly. Its close to all the best spots to eat and beach is not as crowded as others.

  Its a little dated, but they are always updating things and remodeling. I guess the biggest thing I did not like is the coffee stand did not open til 6 and I was always out the door by 5

  location - I was very close to an event I was attending, so that was great. There are also a lot of restaurant options. Nothing fancy, but a good selection of basics.

  All the counter tops in the room were sticky, like they had been wiped down with a dirty towel. The floors were visibly dirty. The complex looked shabby.

  The gentleman at the desk was kind and quick when checking in. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. The room overall had a nice smell.

  It took a while for the water to drain from the sink. There was a large patch job on the wall in the room that needed to be painted. The bathroom door was falling apart at the bottom. The remote was not working for the tv.

  The lock would not work on the door of the first room, so we were moved to the adjacent room. Same problem-- door had to be slammed hard in order to engage the lock bolt. There was a gap under door big enough for vermin to come in. Parking lot has numerous pot holes. Manager was training another gentleman when I registered and that took priority over taking care of me.

  Location, room, and the bed were AWESOME. What a value! I could just walk the town and find a place to eat or just have coffee.

  Not sure what could be better. All I needed was a place to take a shower and sleep. Locating food was just a walk down the street to the Alabama Hills Cafe for breakfast.
