- “I like the place it was best when I got a better room and I was told id get one. I am still hopeful as last two weeks my room was fabulous. I did get in trouble for smoking 🚬 that was fair as they are gross other than that I have been treated wonderful. There should be more food available for children in the restaurant and I did not like the apple dessert but the other meals are great the staff are kind and the manager is too. I really would advise anyone to stay but make sure you book the right room first on booking . Com I thought I had as I was told my second fortnight was going to be the same as my first fortnight but I was given a tiny room with no kitchen for two weeks this is not suitable. I had a great discounted room to start with but after my smoking I think the staff were reluctant to do it again I have not smoked since only in the designated smoking zones. So I will let you know how i go with getting the same as last fortnight as it's cost me a fortune to stay a month. I am sad but I made the choice to come because of .y first booking which was not even real that is very bad and it's still advertised on this website do not book the place in cairns at the ensuite as the home has been sold and it is not being fixed on this site. I didn't have another choice by then and I was told .y stay here would be covered by insurance I'm yet to find out if it is which terrifies me as I am homeless just lost my mum and unemployed. I was only able to come to fitzroy from a redress payment for being molested and I pray I'm not going to be robbed of this too. I really think I will get a better room I shall see. God bless fitzroy island as they are a great choice for anyone who can afford to be here. I can't that's why I cannot leave as there is no refund on bookings I thought that's what the insurance covers but I dont know yet will keep you posted.”

- “Location was extraordinarily convenience since I arrived by train at Station Zuid and flew out of Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from the station and the airport was only 12 minutes away by train. Rooms were high tech (everything controlled by an iPad). Bed was oversized and comfortable. Tram stop just outside the hotel gets you to the museum area (Rikmuseum, Van Gough & Contemporary Art museums) within 15 minutes. The hotel also provided free bikes so you can get around the city like a true Amsterdammer. Staff were awesome.”

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the plumbing is high-quality, and the beds are comfortable.   Parking next to our room was definitely convenient. Bathroom was perfect. The bed was very comfortable. Pillows are small but plenty were provided. Appreciated the refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was good. Crowded but worth waiting for.

  The pool was not quite heated. I was hoping there was a Jacuzzi but the area was clean with lounge chairs and towels. We left and came back and the patrons for Denny's had taken all the disabled parking but as one left we were able to park near our room.

  Breakfast was good, we really enjoy having it every morning. Location was very good, close to playground and other attractions. Very easy to check in and check out. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.

  The room size was good, but the fridge was making some noise. Kitchen equipment wasn't clean. I would use them at all. No housekeeping, we have to do our bed and minor cleaning and request extra towels. Location was very good, close to the playground and other attractions.

  Location was great. It's an older hotel. check in was easy and pleasant. It's pet friendly which is what I needed but the rug in the room smelled like pee from past pets. It didn't smell clean in the room.

  Remove the rug or clean it in pet friendly rooms. It smelled bad of pee. Also - Get full size pillows, I don't know why hotels are trying to use little square pillows.

  Loved our view. We got to see dolphins and more from it. I also loved that I could see the pool from our balcony. We let our teen daughter go down to swim when we didn't want to but could still see her.

  The Super 8 by Wyndham was clean and tidy. The price was amazing!

  As soon as we entered the elevator, it was so Hot it took my breath away. We were both sweating by the time we made it to the 2nd floor. The room was "Beautiful, & Clean!" But, our neighbors across from us and next to us, were so loud, slamming doors all night, and nothing was done about it. Lastly, this morning we were going downstairs to get the "breakfast " and we walked in and my fiance spoke first and told the lady, "Good Morning " and she turned and looked and turned back around and never said a word. So I spoke up a d very sweetly said, "Good Morning, how are you doing?" Again she never spoke. RUDE!

  Lots of options for breakfast and a good timeframe.

  There were ants all over one of the beds, in the pillows and under the sheets. The floor and desk had not been cleaned. We had to be moved to another room. When we got to that room, there was trash all over the floor. It had not been swept and the chair was all the way across the room instead of pushed in under the desk.

  When you go and stay at a hotel, I don't care if it is a 5 stare or a 1 stare there should be hot water in the facilty. If not, they should let you know before you check in. I believe it is against the code not to supply hot water.
