  I like the location. It's a few minutes walk to Michigan Avenue (shopping area), and to the south of the river (where you can find Macy's, etc.). There's Mcdonald's, Target and Portillo's across the hotel. The nearest subway is a block away - i.e. red line that goes all the way to Chicago north (Howard) and down south to China Town. Many groceries and restaurants nearby. Housekeeping service is as per request. The beddings are generally acceptable and comfortable.

  The smell of the hallways and carpets - they seem to be so old, it has that damp smell everyday. Moving to and from the reception office can be a bit of a hassle if you have heavy luggage (just like us with 4 luggage), because you bring the luggage up the "stairs" to the reception to check in or check out, and carry your luggage down again and out of the reception office because the elevator to the rooms is on the other entrance. Room rates are quite expensive considering the state of the hotel. Also, no refrigerator.

  The place is in perfect location. Very clean, nice design, with details to comfort your guest. Usually beach houses are in the same team. This one was super relaxing in natural earth colors. We had everything that we needed it. Hot tub was also bonus. We had the lady come in and clean it in the middle of our stay. We loved it every minute of our stay in there.
