  The renovations completed at this property are excellent! The room was bright and clean and very pleasant! The desk clerk gave us recommendations for dinner that evening and breakfast the next morning. We took those recommendations and we were very glad we did! I can't remember the name of the Italian restaurant but the food was fantastic! I was born in Ely, but we moved when I was only about 4 months old, so I don't remember living there. We had family who lived there so we visited until they moved when I was 10, so I do remember visiting Ely often in my youth. Driving through on my way from Denver to Reno is always a fun trip on the nostalgia train. :)

  I can't think of anything we disliked. Each member of the staff with whom we interacted was very nice, and organically so. I didn't hear any "tag lines" or canned phrases that a lot of hospitality employees are often forced to say. These people are just nice people. I got the impression that they genuinely liked working at that property.

  I didn’t like that the check in time was after 4 and check out was at 10am. It used to be check in at 3 and out at 11. Kind of feels like your being jipped of your time. Temp for ac/heat was hard to figure out. Ended up turning it off bc it was either too cold or too hot. Parking was horrible. Almost non existent and if someone had an oversized vehicle(which there was) they took up 3 spots.
