- “Great location! The proprietors Olav and Brigitte were fantastic hosts. We rode our bikes on a terribly rainy day, and they assisted us with our baggage and even cleaning the bikes off too. The room was excellent - first class linens, and great bathroom products. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic too - we enjoyed a nice sampling of yogurts, meats and cheeses. We even got to sample several of the cheeses that Brigitte sells in her store. Arcen is a quaint beautiful little town, and La Dominette is right in the center. Wonderful restaurants are within a 50 meter or less walk. This is an outstanding B & B - one of the very best we’ve ever stayed in!!”

  Most of the resort is under renovation and the villa we stayed in the grounds are all dirt and no plantings or grass coverage making it look terrible. The unit was very clean and view nice but unit needs remodeling. The villa we were placed in was located 1 1/2 miles from pool. Resort offers trolley service but had to walk from end unit to the roadside pickup. It does not come in to do a loop inside the section for convenience. Since resort charges $25 each person per day resort fee I feel this should be included with trolley service. We ended up driving our own vehicle to the pool each day.

  This hotel has an in-room kitchenette, which was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. However, there are no pots, pans, dishes, drinkware, or eating utensils whatsoever. Apparently, you need to bring all of your own supplies. Really? Sure, I always travel with half my kitchen…not! Additionally, when I booked for the week I requested a fan for the room. When I never received a response from the hotel, I incorrectly assumed they were going to have it available. Wrong. I was told there’s a Walmart down the road if I need one. Ugh! I would have brought my own, if only they would have responded! Lastly, the hotel has a little marketplace where you can buy food to cook in your room. But again, no supplies to eat the food on or with. All of this information would be helpful if they stated this up front. It would have changed the way I packed for my trip or the hotel I would have booked.
