The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  My wife and ji stayed at this hotel for 3 nights from September 1 to 04. Coming from the W hotel on 3rd street I found this facility too basic. You practically had to ask for everything you need . The staff weren’t rude but were not friendly or welcoming either. However the lady on the reception desk with the Muslim Hijab, (Eva I think was the name ), was exceptional . She was very helpful and nice . I had breakfast once at the onsite restaurant Filipino restaurant Abaca. Let me just say there are better options in the neighborhood. I had to return to remaining breakfast vouchers given to me at reception. I expect the hotel to refund the advance payment I had made for breakfast for the 2 remaining days

  Everything, the late night worker, was a horrible person!! Very unprofessional! Called our phones for a hour and a half while we were at a concert because my friend ran down the road to get something to drink, made us leave the concert to come remove our dogs! Then accused us of not notifying we had dogs, when it was on the booking site that we had TWO dogs with us! The room smelled awful of chemicals and the first room he put us in was OCCUPIED! Then blamed us for going to the room he wrote on our paper and told us to go to!! Tbh if I ever go back and see him, it’s gonna be all the best problems to be made!! You hateful, miserable, unprofessional POS!! The staff was awful, the rooms were awful, the ac didn’t work, water wasn’t even warm, elevator felt like it would stop working at any second, I could go on for days as to why this place shouldn’t even be running! But I’ll leave it at this, DONT GO HERE!!!!
