- “So welcoming and comfortable from the minute you enter. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room, although on the small side was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  The location was perfect!! Walked where we had to go. Was a little nervous seeing it from the outside I will admit ….my grandchildren’s words…we’re staying in a church? Lol but inside was beautiful. Staff was awesome!!!! We had mentioned on the day we were leaving about going to the animal safari adventure and she says hold on a minute and went back and got us a VIP visit there for 4 adults and 2 children for FREE! The only disappointment was that I could hear people out in the hall when door was closed and also heard the neighbors headboard very loud …good thing it was a quickie lol but anyways over all I would give my stay a 10 👍🏼

  The gentleman that was on duty when we arrived was so very nice, and made us feel comfortable, and we found the property like home. You can tell the property has been recently refurbished, and I won't judge that workmanship with cleanliness. If a corner on the bathroom wasn't square you can't expect a cleaning caulking job.

  The room was nice, had and extra sink. Working TV, Microwave and fridge. Breakfast was better than expected. Waffles, biscuit w/gravy, cereal, bagels, toast, coffee, juice. Nice size pool area. Location was perfect, close to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

  The beds & pillows was not as comfortable as expected. There was a signed at front desk is you stain bedding or sheets there is a $25 charge, which I thought was crazy, as small children's and adults' may have an accident spill or accident. Game room area needs updated.

  The staff was great! I appreciated the $1 per hour parking and the ease of the location. House keeping did a great job tidying up while we were out and appreciated the refill of coffee and cups.

  The blinds were broken in the room and the floor were not level. They slanted down from the window which made footing tricky for an elderly person. I would appreciate some kind of discount for repeat guest.
