The shower was great and the supplies toiletries were lovely. The bed was comfy, and there was a hanging rail for clothes and a hairdryer. The USB charging points by the bed were useful too. The bar / breakfast room is great, the brewery themed decor was really well done. Speaking of the breakfast, it was on par if not better than some I've had in 4 or 5 star hotels. The scrambled eggs were THE BEST I've seen on a buffet - light and fluffy unlike the tasteless, watery offering you often get! The staff at breakfast are so accommodating and helpful, and extremely on the ball with clearing tables. The location is good, the road at the front is busy but we couldn't hear anything from our room. The train station and city centre are a 10-15 minute walk away, I'm sure there are buses but we didn't bother. We had travelled by train and arrived hours before check in time and asked to pop our bags in their secure luggage room, but to our surprise were told our room was ready so we were able to freshen up before heading off to explore. We've stayed in York multiple times over the last 8 years, at least once a year and this is by far my favourite place that we have stayed in. I have paid much more to stay in far inferior hotels! (But please don't put the prices up, we want to come back ;-))”

  The hotel I stayed in was very nasty. The walls were so dirty. I reported it immediately upon arrival. Nothing was done about it. I paid for a family of 6 to stay. I was provided with 2 wash clothes to bathe with and 5 towels to dry with for the complete 4 day stay. Couch has so many stains you can’t sit on it. Everything was just dirty nothing like the photos. Very disappointed.

  Everything. The size of kitchen. The walls being so nasty. Chunks of walls and tiles missing here and there. The stain couch. The sink has cigarette burns around it even tho this room states nonsmoking. I will never rent room again. The manager over this room is so rude and refuse to help in any way. Just kept giving me the same run around to put me off. The bracelet they leave you to use the amenities at the site are not even the right color to get in to use any of the hotels amenities. The bed cut my leg because metal is sticking out.

  Location is amazing, makes accessing hikes, trails, meadows, and waterfalls a dream with very little/no driving. Tent itself has comfy beds, an outlet (in the heated tents) and a heater (though you can only turn that on in the colder months). Towels were supplied in the tent (a bit raggedy/small but usable) and there was shampoo and soap in the communal showers.

  Towels provided were a bit raggedy and small but usable. Had a heater in the tent but was turned off for the summer months so couldn't use it. Technically there is a safe in the tent--we didn't need it (there are yale locks on the doors to lock from the outside) but it was powered down with a sign saying the safes were no longer in use.

  The property was exactly as advertised, very beautiful and comfortable. A home away from home. Our host Chris was super friendly and helpful with our stay and recommended some really nice restaurants for us to visit during our stay. Highly recommend this to anyone who would like to feel "at home" while on vacation. 4 thumbs up!!

  One room we rented 7 had ants so they moved us to a cottage 143. The living room had only a pull out couch with no side tables or a place to put anything down off the floor. Which made it weird. There should be a way for someone to drinks on a side table. Room 116 was perfect and beautiful. Loved the breakfast across the street. We will stay with you again, The pool was pristine and very nice.
