Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Arab EmiratesI contacted the operator to request a clean coffee cup, as the one in our room had already been used and wasn’t clean anymore - we had coffee as soon as we get in. I was informed by the operator that it is the guest’s responsibility to wash the cups. While I didn’t mind doing this myself, I asked if someone could assist us or at least provide some dishwashing soap so we could wash it properly. It seemed as though the expectation might be for guests to use the body wash provided in the bathroom, which of course isn’t ideal for cleaning cups. If this is indeed the standard practice, I’d like to suggest that the hotel consider providing a small bottle of dishwashing liquid and a sponge in each room for convenience. Fortunately, I happened to see a housekeeping staff member, and when I explained the situation, he kindly offered to wash the cup for us. I did politely ask again for dish soap, just so I could handle it myself going forward, but he insisted on helping. Had I known earlier, I would have brought my own dish soap to avoid the trouble. I appreciate the staff member’s kindness, but I do believe a small change in the amenities offered would make the experience smoother for future guests.
The room is big and perfect for us. We love the 23rd floor pool Breeze!

United Arab EmiratesWhile the overall stay was comfortable, a few aspects were disappointing. The pillows, although plush, were excessively soft and did not provide adequate support—this, of course, may be subjective. More concerning was the condition of certain bathroom fixtures, which appeared slightly rusted—possibly due to infrequent usage of the property, though that is merely speculative. The greatest letdown, however, was the dinner service on the first evening. Following a long drive, we arrived expecting a well-prepared buffet, only to be met with limited and uninspired options. Additionally, a chef’s dismissive response to a simple request for Indian bread was both discourteous and unexpected from a hotel of this repute. It was only after a formal complaint to the management, which was subsequently escalated to the head office in Thailand, that efforts were made to improve the quality of service. While this was appreciated, such responsiveness should not have been reactive but rather embedded in the hotel’s standard of care.
A Memorable Stay with a Few Reservations The rooms at the Dusit Thani were exceptionally good—immaculately clean, tastefully appointed, and maintained to a high standard. The housekeeping service was efficient and consistent throughout our stay. My only minor reservation would be the pillows, which were rather too soft for my preference, though I concede this may be a matter of personal comfort. The breakfast buffet was varied and generous, offering the expected fare one would associate with a hotel of this calibre. However, our experience with the dinner buffet on the first evening left much to be desired. After a long and tiring drive, we were surprised to find the dinner options underwhelming and, quite frankly, disappointing. This matter was subsequently escalated to the head office in Thailand, which did prompt a noticeable effort to improve the quality of the dining experience—but it is important to note that this improvement occurred only after a formal complaint was made. Of particular concern was the behaviour of one of the chefs, who responded with undue rudeness when asked about the availability of Indian bread. He stated, rather curtly, that it could not be prepared. Fortunately, another member of staff—having overheard this exchange—intervened and ensured that the request was accommodated. While I appreciated the latter’s responsiveness, the overall interaction was not in keeping with the standards of hospitality one would expect from a property of this standing. I do hope that my feedback has been taken seriously by the management and that measures have been implemented to prevent such instances in future. The Dusit Thani remains a fine hotel, and with more consistent service at all levels, it can truly meet the expectations its name evokes.
