How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast was very basic
Very clean and big up to the cleaning staff thank you for mr segan or segun who was in charge of our room 512 very respectful and kind and the room was very well cleaned everyday also the receptionist lady miss Kimberly always smiling and very very helpful thank you for having be so kind with us we really appreciate this two persons

Huge lack of English Huge lack of Arabic Shocked me. Lack of knowledge of the surrounding area As a 4 star hotel no. More like 3 star. They don’t mention it has a club inside the hotel. Also tip seems to be the only way things can be done or acted upon
Location is easy commute Very attentive Unless you don’t speak to staff they will blank you. Egyptian security guard - amazing guy’ helpful. Knowledgeable and always up for a laugh Rooftop pool. VIJAY! Vijay was a very good guy! Very friendly nice man. Respects women and honest guy. Management must to change, wrong arrogant people in charge apart from that. Reception! Kitchen, pool? Room service. All the staff are amazing! Koman I think his name room service amazing you!

Pool was small and deep, It shouldnt be more than 7 feet high
Its Right beside the Metro station, Breakfast was great, and I am impressed with lifeguard Mr Vijay(Sorry if forgetting the name) who guided me well throughout in swimming pool

coffee in restaurant for breakfast is probably the worst I have ever had in any hotel and thank you to the staff to get me a decent coffee from the little shop in the lobby, again I cant understand why pool closed at 6pm just when more ppl would be using it as too hot earlier in the day
stayed here a few times,this my return to Asia as always have a stop over in Dubai,, room spotless again and again the cleaners are immaculate what they do, breakfast ok and good u can get eggs to order, pool was reopened .

safe didnt work and when fixed still had problems,, wasnt advised that the pool was closed for renovations and have complained before when it did open it was closed at 6pm the best part of the day to enjoy the pool,no one is going to use the pool during the day when its 50c , why on earth would you close the pool that early
have stayed a few times and was ok as its close to many restaurants and shops in the AL Rigga area, room was spotless and thank you to the cleaner guys there for their immaculate way the clean the room.

Noise from the street at night until very late at night. TV has not got many English channels apart from the news. Furniture and decor are rather dated.
the hotel was clean and ok to stay overnight. was a bit noisy at night though (noise coming from the busy street). Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. Towels and bedding were good.

Door’s lock is broken. Reported to reception,they said they will relay to engineer but until we checked out it was not fix. No blackout curtains.
Reasonable price for overnight stay with free breakfast.

The temperature of AC needs improvement and cold shower it should be available at all times.
I like it the location of the hotel nearby metro, and my overall observation it was so good. I just enjoyed my stay at the Avenue Hotel.
