How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Although room window was enough for the light and room was very bright in the day. But there can be added more or bright lamps for the night. Other than that room was perfect for the stay and i would surely visit again.
Comfortable room, nice view from hotel, staff helpful and provided with all things we needed. Had wonderful time staying at hotel.

There were some minor issues in the first room I was checked in but the hotel immediately reacted to my complaint and gave me a superior room that had no such issues.
Excellent location, with easy access to taxis, the metro, and the tram. The Marina Promenade, restaurants, and Marina Mall are within easy access, including on foot. Also, the beaches are nearby, and there’s a dedicated beach shuttle to take you there. The Marina view is fantastic and more relaxing than the city view. The room I was in was very quiet, which is what I was looking for. The reception/guest relations office, especially Ms. Rizza, who is a Guest Relations Officer, was super professional and went out of her way to make my stay in the hotel comfortable and memorable. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Dubai.

Internet so slow
I had an absolutely amazing time at Marina Byblos hotel . The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. The only disappointing thing was that the pillows were very thick and firm. I would have liked softer ones. Other than that, I can’t fault the place and will definitely go back.

In the bathroom when you go for a shower, hot water splashes on you for about 10 to 15 minutes after that normal water

The swimming pool was nice, but I think the water needed some maintenance.
One night stay, double deluxe room. The room was perfectly clean, and just as the pictures showed, there were really comfy beds and installations. The location is convenient, just 5 minutes from the marina walk and 10 minutes by taxi from Ibn Battuta bus station and mall. Very nice staff.

Only 1 European plug in the room.
Location was perfect, only 10 min walking from the Marina of Dubai. Breakfast was delicious, the staff super kind available for any request (we forgot my child's toy and they shipped it back to us), the rooms are large and the view on the channel is amazing. I will recommend it as one of the best hotel with amazing staff close to the Marina of Dubai.
