How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Verified reviewVery nice place to stay. The lady there speaks very good English and it's super easy to communicate things with her. She was cooking us breakfasts and dinners, which were delicious. The rooms are rather simple, but clean and comfortable. The house is located a few kilometers away from the Theth center, very close to the trail to Maja e Harapit and convenient if you are planning to go to the Valbona.

Verified reviewThe road from Theth to the Guest House is poor but you can easily get there with careful driving. Once there, the location is beautiful. The room is compact but fine as you will be out all day taking in the stunning scenery. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Stayed 3 nights, had dinner 2 nights - enjoyed the first one very much, less so the second one. Breakfast was okay.

It is quite difficult to arrive (Google maps gives bad instructions) and the road is very bad. The shower design makes the water go to even out the toilet and need to put towels in the floor to avoid the water reach the room. Breakfast or dinner does not provide options (everybody has the same even if we do not like some food). For dinner there are better options in the village. But in general everything is acceptable

We accept that the showers are in a system when you shower the bathroom is wet because this house has been designed for more than 15 years and so there is a system but one that will be adjusted over time😉 but I cannot accept that your cleanliness score is 7.5 and you know this too😉 You cannot say that dinner has no options when you have over 10 different foods on the table all fresh and organic and it is not our fault that you did not write which foods you do not consume so that we can replace them but in fact you yourself (Ermira) did not consume the second dinner with us because for as long as you were there all the rooms near you were bothered by you because you shouted at each other the whole time and you slammed doors you blocked the main doors and with keys forcing the others to call us because they had remained closed and this was very worrying for others. I'm sorry but google maps is very correct but you need to have internet and you didn't have that and you know this very well. The road is a dirt road maintained by the hostels but I'm very happy to live here in the small town of Okoli🫠. Thank you and very soon our shortcomings will be filled. Verified reviewThe space was comfortable and the owners were very friendly and helpful - the day we checked out we had a flat tire and had to leave our car in Theth the night before so they drove us to our car and recommended a tire repair shop. The view from the property was beautiful and it was nice and quiet so we had good rests. The included breakfast was filling and a good start to our days.
The property is far from Theth itself. We walked from the town centre to the guesthouse one evening and it took around 45 minutes. The drive to the guesthouse is on an unpaved gravel road and takes 10-15 minutes.

The only issue is that they only accept cash and it is a bit far from everithing (in case that you consider that an issue)

Verified reviewTheth is an incredibly beautiful place, made even more special by the warm and welcoming hospitality of Ermira and her family ,felt like being part of their home , they were always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooms are spotless, with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The food is delicious, freshly prepared, and cooked with care. I truly enjoyed my time here and would happily return. The only thing to keep in mind is the road : it was built by the local community, so you’ll need to drive slowly and carefully.

Verified reviewStaying here was really like being part of a mountain village for a few lovely days. A bit from “downtown Theth”, all you hear is the wind and the farm animals walking around. We enjoyed being surrounded by green mountains and being served excellent dinners and breakfasts - with lots of tea and local honey. We remember our stay with great fondness!
