How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Verified reviewApartment was spacious and it was generously equipped (stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and laundry machine). The owner, Klaudio, was most responsive and very helpful. The Aloha Fish and Grill restaurant on the ground floor is a must try. They serve fresh seafood prepared and cooked to order.

Verified reviewWe really liked Klaudio's apartment. It was very spacious, centrally located, clean, and well equipped. We had everything we needed there, and Tirana's two main streets were just to the left and right of the accommodation. All the sights, such as the State Opera House, the Castle, and the Pyramid, were within walking distance. Klaudio was also an incredibly good, very friendly, and courteous host who provided us with lots of local tips in advance and was always ready to listen to us. We would definitely recommend the accommodation and Klaudio as a host and hope you enjoy your stay in this great apartment.

That‘s rifht, we don‘t have our own parking spot, but being in the city center of Tirana, it is something you get along since eveything is walkable were we are. Of course, there is the public parking on the street and 2 private parkings possibilities in a distance of 650 - 800 away. All the parking possibilities in Tirana city center are payable like in every european capital. We hope to see you again in the near future Azeef! Not completely clean at our arrival (especially bathroom sink)

Verified reviewHuge apartment, equipped with everything we could need. Klaudio was very nice and accommodating for our stay. We only stayed 1 night but this would be great for a longer city trip as well.
It was well-meaning but there was maybe a bit too much communication with the owner in comparison to other accommodations.

I do have a tourism background, studies and experience working for Booking.com, Marriott hotels and as albanian host and south european we‘re hospitable grateful toward our guests who visit us and choose for vacation our country. Except for asking about when do you plan to arrive due to we have just an apartment, not a 24/7 reception like an hotel and we don’t live near by, when you will leave (check out) in order to know when we can enter the apartment to clean it and prepare it for the next guests, a welcome short message just upon checking in to inform you about Netflix and to let you know that even though we don‘t have a reception we are always available if you will need anything or something it doesn‘t work nothing more. Based on the best practices of hotels like Marriotts we are trying to be professionals and to offer to our guests a great hospitality always with a detailed and personalised service in order to make them feel welcomed snd appreciated. Second, we are trying always to improve ourselves and we add small details that the guests have requested in the past. But of course, if you felt it was too much then we apologize of it. Verified reviewLocation was great. Only downside was the difficulties to find a parking spot (for free or otherwise), but that's not the host's fault. Host is very friendly and responds quickly. The apartment is very good value for the money. There's a small but cozy balcony. Bedroom is solid. Bathroom has nice facilities and is clean. The living room is small but has all the essentials, and a bonus for the Netflix availability on the TV.
Nothing besides the parking, and the elevator maybe. But those are small downsides.
