How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Verified reviewThe staff were great, and the hotel was modern and the best in the neighborhood.
It was not as clean as it should be. The beach is pebbles (no SAND); service at the beach was horrible. Plus the music was so loud. WC by the beach were horrible. We had to drive and go to the beach somewhere else. In addition, 12 beach spots were reserved for special customers. so we had to sit in the 3rd row away from the sea. It was too overpriced for what it offered, and food-wise it's below average.

Verified reviewGreat location and views from the rooms, especially the ones with a full sea view. The staff is trying, but they need to be trained better. Good amenities in the room. Private beach across the street.
We booked a full sea view room, but we're "downgraded" to a partial sea view as this room is bigger and we had a child. While I appreciated a friendly advice, I would have preffered if this was communicated beforehand and not at check in. Staff seems confused about basic questions and need to be trained better and learn to be proactive in their approach. Food at breakfast is of good quality, but constantly cold. Not sure if this is the case everywhere in Albania, but cold eggs and sausages taste anything but tasty. Private beach was a nice plus, but the staff here also needs to be trained on customer service as they were busy most of the time talking to each other.

The cleaning needs more attention The beach music was tooooo high, we had to leave to another beach for some serene time There is a block of cement facing the lobby blocking the sea view (partially) Oh and in all of Albania, hotels dont provide blankets!!!!

The hotel has potential, but our stay was ruined by several issues. The staff seems constantly overwhelmed, and we had to keep asking for sheets. Additionally, the trash can in front of our room wasn't emptied for three days, which spoiled the view. There's also a problem with the beach chairs: regulars, apparently a large family, monopolize the space and ask other guests to move away. This is unacceptable, especially when they reserve dozens of chairs for people who are still sleeping, when we too have paid to enjoy the beach. A so-called manager even made an inappropriate gesture when speaking to us, which I found disrespectful. During the preparation for a concert, the staff worked on the beach for days without a word of apology for the inconvenience. On the night of the concert, the air conditioning was turned off under a false pretense of an electrical failure. The next day, the beach was littered with trash. It's clear that the staff is exhausted and understaffed. The hotel should hire more staff and better allocate tasks. The breakfast is repetitive. Oh, and I almost forgot: some guests take the liberty of putting their towels in front of our beach chairs, forcing us to ask the staff to intervene. In short, very disappointed.

I had a very disappointing experience at Mango Luxury and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. From the moment we arrived, the service was unacceptable. The front desk was handled by a young, untrained staff member who didn’t greet us properly, didn’t help with our luggage, and offered no information. Parking is located two floors below the lobby and there is no elevator, so we had to carry everything ourselves—no assistance offered whatsoever. When we finally got to the lobby, we were given a room that was not what I had booked. I specifically reserved a room with a sea view, but the one we were given only had a view to the parking lot and a slight view to the ocean. The room itself was extremely hot, and the air conditioning wasn’t working. I had to go down to the lobby to ask them in person to turn it on, because calling didn’t help. There were no blackout curtains in the room, so at night the light came in and made it hard to sleep. The bathroom had a large transparent window, offering no privacy at all—not ideal when you’re using the toilet or shower. Also, they don’t provide any blankets, just a thin sheet, which was very uncomfortable. As for the beach club, the service was just as bad. No one comes to check on you, hours go by and no one offers you anything. Trying to order something was nearly impossible. The staff was disengaged and completely unhelpful. Overall, it felt like a complete tourist trap with absolutely no attention to guest experience or service. Save yourself the disappointment and stay elsewhere.

Unfortunately we needed to leave earlier due to various problems: When going to the private beach you realize that the first row of sunbeds is reserved for a local family and you have to take the sunbed the staff will advise you. When going to the beach restaurant the staff is very untrained and it takes more than half an hour to get a beer. Furthermore a television was missing, the door handle from the balcony felt off and was glued (don’t think that works) in after 2 days. When we wanted to leave 1 day prior to the booking date the price went up 30%, but we were not told the reason. The breakfast was below average as you have to ask 2-3 times at the bar in order to get your coffee. They claim to offer a room service and a bar but room service was not available and bar was for coffee and water only.
