Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe WiFi in my room (715) was terrible and made the experience very annoying. It barely worked and would keep dropping off. I kept having to use my mobile data out of frustration. However our travel companion who stayed on the seventh floor in another room found no issue with the WiFi, so it must be luck of the draw. The shower has three knobs to turn and no explanation of what they do. Try and you’ll manage to figure it out, but this was pretty old-fashioned.
A good location near the Teatro Colón and a safe, busy area at night. The front of the property looks very impressive and the lobby was very attractive. The room was a decent size. The hotel staff kept our bags safe after we checked out.

United States of AmericaNot going to lie it was nasty. The air vent was full of black mold. Sometimes the air vent worked other times it did not. At one point we found a lot of mattresses and bed frames in hallway so I think there were bed bugs or something. The bathroom was so tight that two people was a struggle. Bed linen was rough and not best quality.
Location was good and staff was great. Hotel bar was good. Water pressure was good in shower

United States of AmericaThe triple rom we stayed in was small. The laminate floor was peeing up in places. Despite the relatively expensive cost, breakfast was NOT INCLUDED and their breakfast buffet cost US$24!!! We ate elsewhere.
Clean, comfortable beds, check in was easy, nice bathroom although a little on the small side, large windows so the room was sunny.

DenmarkThe hotel did not warn us about an "event" in the restaurant one evening. Having started on our dinner, a person in a T-shirt asked us, if it was OK, that 2 other people joined our table, although there were lots of vacant tables. I told him we wanted privacy during our meal. My wife asked him who he was, believing he was a guest, but he said he was the director of the hotel. It's the first time in my life I have met a hotel director of a 5 star hotel dressed in a T-shirt in a dining restaurant. Gradually the restaurant filled with probably 150 - 200 people listening to a speaker - and only me wife and me dining.

ChileToo noisy, I could hear everything (elevators doors sound, squeaky floor as I walked in the rom, people walking in the room above, bathroom sounds from next door people doing their toilet business and loud toilets refilling) about me in the evening and at night.
Fantastic location, Front Desk was very helpful and understanding. I had a lovely bedroom (including decor)/ bathroom, great reception area and beautiful entrance and building exterior.

United States of AmericaThe exercise bike was an embarrassment to a fine hotel like the Claridge. It was physically falling apart and the electronics did not work so there was no adjustment on level possible. It seriously looked like something you would put outside your building hoping the trashman would pick it up. I had to pay $50 to join a Megatlon gym for the week in order to work out. There was a treadmill but with two knee replacements, I am not allowed to run as my mode of endurance exercise.
Room was clean.

ThailandSwimming pool opens only at 10am in the morning and it closes at 7pm. Not a good timing for someone who wants to enjoy the pool in the morning or after the day. The excuse: the staff works only from 10am to 7pm. The smell from the bathroom, smell like sewage water. Horrible. No windows to refresh the air. Location: Right at the the city center, dirty and smells really bad. The hotel claim to be 5 stars, but it is far away of being one.

CanadaThis hotel is a bit down at heel. At some point in the past it would have been impressive. Currently it is perhaps past its prime. A bit of an odd location, between the newer tourist area and the older part of town. Not a great value as it is close to the upper end of the tourist area and the room rate reflects it. The street out front was dirty with smelly garbage on the north side of the street, walk on the south side. Quite easy to find the hotel as it is directly opposite a well advertised sex shop.
The outdoor pool is attractive in the middle of town. It is a good size and has lots of room for chairs etc as well as a bar and fitness center
