Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe property itself is a bit old and the AC is good, but caused us a bit of sinus issues.

CanadaWhat I didn’t like was that the coffee was very weak and the scrambled eggs were always on the cold side. I believe they were made fresh, but they were not heated continuously once put in the bowl. Cold scrambled eggs are just not very appetizing and it wouldn’t have taken much to have them in a chafing dish with heat under to keep them warm. The only other thing I didn’t like was the hard beds. There was no foam on top of the hard mattress, and the edges of the mattress were hard as well. And the pillows were small.
It included breakfast, Continental type. Lots of pastries, cereal, yogurt, juice, tea, and coffee and scrambled eggs and toast and open faced sandwiches. The rooms were clean and the lobby area was clean and it had a great shower with a rain shower head. It had a fridge and a USB port on each side of the bed in the lamp. The staff were excellent friendly and could speak fairly good English. so that there was no trouble communicating at all. They ordered us a taxi when we were leaving and it was there exactly on time. It was on a pedestrian street which was very convenient for Exploring, eating out and shopping.

AustraliaI cannot think of anything that bothered me about this hotel. I didn't try their breakfast but you are spoilt for choice at cafes nearby, so I can't give my opinion about that. The area, basically just metres from Buenos Aires most famous pedestrian intersection, can get a bit desolated late at night, just like the rest of the Microcentro. And if you have a car picking you up during the daytime, you'll have to walk up to the next corner, but this is really a very small bother all considered.
I was actually surprised about this hotel, because being located on Lavalle street, I was expecting it to be somewhat older. However, I was very happy to find a new style hotel, and very well kept. I was lucky to get a good rate that I made even better by paying in cash after selling US dollars at the "blue dollar" rate just before arriving to the hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, it had a small fridge with some drinks/snacks you could buy, a laptop safe, AC unit and cable TV. The following day they were kind to store my luggage for me, and I even used the lobby to rest and work on my laptop while I waited for my time to go to the airport. I would happily stay here again if the occasion arises.

SpainThe shower had 2 heads connected to one pipe so there was no control and water pressure was poor. The pipes "sang" when the water was on, the wash basin in the bathroom was too small and the waste water didn't drain. There was no control over the ac as it was centrally controlled. There was a Power cut on the grid - hotel had no back up generator leaving stairwells and corridors in pitch black. The mattress on the bed was so soft you felt like you would hit the floor just sitting on the edge.
Location is excellent for exploring city centre on foot. The staff were very friendly and mostly accommodating.
