Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. The property is very close to Laguna Torre and Fitz Roy trail heads. The staffs are super friendly and helpful. The room is very clean.

Location, close to trailhead and restaurants/bakeries/grocery store. Clean, comfortable, plenty of hot water, nicely heated. Host was very quick to respond.

Shower can be a bit tricky to use. Hot water occasionally stops for some reason but will restart after a few minutes.
Great location. Walking distance to trailhead. Close to market. Apartment is roomy and clean. Kitchen is nicely equipped. Oil and salt provided for cooking.

Not easy to contact the owner because I did not have WhatsApp. But our neighbor helped us. Once she was there, she was very friendly and helpful.
The location is very close to many restaurants although we cooked most of the time. The view is also great!

Great location for hiking and access to eats and shops. Comfortable, clean, and bright with wonderful views. Marina is a wonderful host and she provides great advice about what to do. We loved our stay.

Very clean, well maintained and comfortable apartment which met all of our needs. Close to great restaurants and the trailheads. Marina was very helpful, giving lots of useful information and was quick to respond to any queries. I would happily stay there again.

The accommodation was clean, cozy, and spacious. There was room enough to spread out all our gear, make/eat meals in the kitchen/dining area, and relax. The property provides great privacy and is a tiny bit further out from the main action of El Chalten, but we preferred being closer to the trailheads. El Chalten is also so small that everything really isn't that far. The host was also extremely responsive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay in every way. The apartment was cozy, spacious and comfortable, a perfect base for our hiking adventures. Marina was a wonderful host, communicating ahead of and during our stay to be sure we had everything we needed, and gave us tips about some of the hikes. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful newer property with the comforts of home located very close to trailheads to Mt. Fitzroy Hike. The host is lovely and very helpful. She provided recommendations and information to help us make the most of our stay in El Chalten. The apartment was perfect for the 4 of us, providing 3 single beds in the bedroom and 1 extra single bed in the common area. The kitchen had everything we needed. All was much appreciated! Highly recommend for visitors.

Wonderful apartment. Location is excellent, at the trailed bit still within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops. Our host was fantastic, check in was super easy. The bath was amazing after 9 hours of hiking

Everything was ok, no complaints:-)
Well equipped apartment with kitchen. Round the corner good restaurant Muro suggested by the hostess. We visited it 3 times and food was really good. Near the Fitz Roy and Laguna Torre walks. No problem with wifi. Hair dryer in the bathroom which in colder temperatures I found important:-) It's possible to pay with the credit card. Otherwise you pay in pesos with the official exchange rate.
