Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Everything was absolutly great, except for one pillow that was really bad and there was only 1 per bed.
Perfect location, everything was less than a 20 minutes walk away. The breakfast was a bit expensive but was really amazing. The rooms were spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Only a couple of minor points - our safe was not working in the room, the shower leaked and the room was a bit warm at first, but these did not impact our stay. We could turn down/off the radiators. We would happily stay here again.
Great location, easy walking distance to/from transport networks and places of interest to see and visit. Also lots of shops and places to eat nearby. The staff were friendly, the room was large, the shower was powerful, the beds were comfortable, everything was clean, there was plenty of storage space. We were able to easily use trains to/from the airport. The hotel was generally quiet and we could store luggage as needed.

If I must say something, shampoos could have been better :)
Great location, conveniently close to the Museum Quarter and Mariahilfer. Spacious rooms with high ceilings. We did not have breakfast at the hotel and instead, opted for markets and cafes around. Good choice for museum-goers who would like to walk around.

nothing, everything was very good
The location was perfect. 5 minute walk to Kunst historisches Museum, 10 minute walk to Vienna Opera. I never had to take the public transport. it was also very affordable and the room was very clean

The warm water was lukewarm and unsuitable for bathing. The amenities described in the reservation for a double room with a seating area were not available. The room was small and suitable for a single person.
The hotel has an excellent location - meters from the most important sights! Would stay again in warmer weather (there is also a small fridge). The staff is very kind.

Wireless wasnt reaching at the room A2. It could be better. And we asked for bed for 2 but they merge 2 seperate bed which we didnt like a lot.

Super loud building with echoes from people talking and dragging their suitcases. Ridiculous idea of not having a toilet in the room which would be ok if it was just outside the room but paying £300 for 3 nights walking to the toilet in the other part of the building is crazy! Dated decor as well
It was convenient to get to the Xmas market and walk to the city centre. Room was briefly cleaned every day.

Parking is provided in a public garage, so there is a problem when arriving and leaving with luggage.
The breakfast is not very substantial and rich, but it is satisfying. Hotel accommodation and location is excellent.

The bedroom we were given was very small with bed placed against the wall. I did ask for a bigger room but I was not accommodated
Breakfast was quite acceptable with fruit cheeses and meats. Also salads , cereals and hot options

If your neighbours are a bit loud, it's easy to hear conversations through the bedroom walls. Not a dealbreaker for me, but a bit inconvenient.
The staff were very friendly and it's conveniently located within a 15 minute walk of the Hofburg, which is where I needed to be. The staff member recommended somewhere to eat when I arrived in the evening, which was much appreciated.
