United KingdomA bottle of water in the room would have helped considerably. Although there is the facility to contact Reception to get drinks, at that time of night it was just a hassle.
So very close to the airport - three minutes walk but very quiet at night. I arrived late, the lady on duty was welcoming, gave me my key. My room was small but as expected as I had booked a single but it was clean, quiet and had everything I needed. The shower provided plenty of hot water. I had to leave early so was unable to partake of the breakfast.

Proximity to Salzburg airport was the main driver for me to choose this hotel. It is literally a 3 minute walk to the airport. I had been in Austria for a week and had an early morning (6:30am) flight. Rooms and facility seem to have been recently updated. Rooms are efficiently organized and have modern features. I did not stay for breakfast so I cannot judge that.

United KingdomMaybe as we were out of peak season the owners had let all staff go, they were clearly doing everything themselves and seemed very tired. Unfortunately this meant the kitchen and dinning room was closed of an evening and we had to walk upto the nearby shopping mall to find restaurants open for an evening meal.
The location was excellent and much to our delight also quiet without aeroplane disruption. It could not have been closer to the airport terminal we needed for our flight. We enjoyed the pool and noticed a well equipped gym. Very nice breakfast in the morning with plenty of choice of good quality produce.

United KingdomSo disappointed with breakfast… At 7am no scrambled eggs, no bacon, no sausages, no any warm food at all. Cold boiled eggs, meat, cheese, cereal (with cold milk) were the only choices. Myself and my 2 year old left hungry. Staff don’t speak english. Also you have to ask for coffee (not sure if they would provide you 2nd cup though). It felt more like they care about saving money than about keeping customers happy.
Location is the best thing about thing about this hotel, room was also clean.

United KingdomThe reception staff, however, do need a quick reminder about customer care - a smile of greeting is always good. I enquired as to what time the front door would be locked and was told 10pm and that I had a key for this......at no point did the reception lady point out that of the2 keys I had - the room key also worked the front door. The other key was for the room safe. Sounds obvious but when travelling alone and being slightly angsty after dark, later at night it would have saved some hassle later if she had taken the time to make sure I understood! I felt totally safe travelling back from the centre of Salzburg on the 22.32 bus to the airport. It is only a 2 minute walk/jog from the bus stop to the hotel but there were a few cars hanging about - I guess to pick up airport passengers and this made me a little angsty so that I arrived at the hotel flustered and out of breath. I could not get the key to unlock the door and buzzed the hotel porter. He was very gruff - well it was 11pm I guess. He then arrived by car with a squeal of brakes and marched up to me, grabbing my keys and proceeding to unlock the front door - so embarrassed to realise I had been using the safe key NOT the double acting room key. Still! the customer is always right and in the hotel trade I suspect you need to have patience with dippy customers! I was left feeling very embarrassed. I think perhaps I encountered the same gentleman on checkout. Again no smiles spared ...perhaps he was having a bad day having been hauled out of bed to help me the night before!
I was travelling alone back to UK and decided to have a night in Salzburg at a very convenient location for an early morning flight. Arriving mid afternoon I was able to book in and then catch a local bus to the centre of Salzburg to attend a concert at the Festung. All good so far. The hotel is lovely - clean, quiet and well appointed . My single room had a balcony and was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good, starting at 6.30am - perfect for my morning flight as check-in is literally 4 minutes walk away. The lady in charge of the breakfast was very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe breakfast price was too high at Euros 20 so we didn't have it. There were 4 of us staying 4 nights and it would have been an expensive addition. A similar 4* airport hotel in the UK charges the equivalent of Euros 15 for a hot cooked breakfast/continental buffet. A good quality UK airport motel charges Euros 9.30. Reasonable alternatives available in the airport - 5 minutes walk.
The hotel was convenient for the airport, buses into the city centre and a nearby designer shopping mall (if that is your interest). The swimming pool was well maintained and pleasant. Rooms were comfortable and the whole place was exceptionally clean. Free parking a bonus.
