Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No wash basin in the toilets. Not located in the city center but it was not far and the walk is safe and pleasant.
Brand new apartment, very modern, confortable. Fantastic breakfast, it was very healthy and fresh with bio and gluten free products..Lovely staff.

The work for the new office building. Nothing you can help. Sure it’s frustrating.

There is no sink in the WC so you will have to run to the bathroom to wash your hand after using the toilet.
Great location, very close to the main station. The room is very clean and look exactly like the online photos. Staffs are very friendly.

The wifi connection in the room was very weak. At most points, we couldn't get a good connection, which wasn't very helpful when we wanted to search restaurants and other information.
Great location right by the train station. Great that they had luggage storage, so we could leave our bags and jump on the train later the day of check-out.

No lift and we needed to carry big luggages upstairs (curved staircase)which was very difficult. A bit confusing when check in because there are three separate building for checking in, staying and having breakfast.
It is close to the Salzburg station. The apartment was spacious and clean.

Would have preferred an in person check in rather than self, but that's not a big deal. The breakfast room is in a separate building and again, minor points but I'd prefer it to be in the same building.
Excellent breakfast, probably one of the best we've had. Very accommodating to our three children and the noise and mess they made, staff seemed to be happy to help us! Large spacious room which fit all 5 of us comfortably and they provided a cot plus bedding. Stones throw away from the station and about 25 min walk to the main centre of salzburg, along the river.

It took us some time to get in as there are two buildings. Also it took us some time to find card/keys…. Some clearer signs or instructions could help.
New, modern, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast. Very good value for the money and interesting concept of self check in etc.

The view was of a construction sight, whilst can’t be helped, was the only thing that was a little disappointing as you could hear it during the day, there was however; no noise at night - meant that I had a good sleep.

Parking was not the easiest as there is very limited availability on site, so be prepared to walk a couple blocks.
The hotel room and breakfast space were exceptional. Staffing was very light, so there was a virtual check-in (easy to do) and no assistance if we required it (we didn’t). If you’re comfortable in that type of hotel, this is a fantastic option. Very clean, comfortable, updated rooms. Delicious breakfast in a separate space next door that was well-stocked, hot and prepared fresh each morning.

The checkin was a mixed experience as it's all automated, but we had some issues with the cards the next morning. Location is OK, but it was facing a construction site and they worked even on a Saturday.
Excellent top quality breakfast, with fresh juice maker, lots of options for all tastes and preferences. Staff in the morning very helpful.

No possibility to wash hands in the toilet.
The apartment is new and beautifully decorated. It has enough room for six people. The location next to the railway station is perfect if you need to catch an early train or flight. The breakfast is delicious and has a lot of different options.
