the web site needs a review - Ski-to-door access claimed on the website is misleading, it is a good walk on and across a busy road uphill to the first chair and back again. Shuttle service (free) does not exist, a taxi to St Anton is between 22 and 40 Euros The heat in the hotel is extraordinary, the rooms are unbearably hot at night, even the room service staff leave the windows open As a newcomer, you will be stuck on the back table in the back room, but give it 15 years and you will be part of the family and welcomed with open arms.

All the staff were charming, some were exceptional in their service but many of them disorganised, losing table bookings, drinks etc. However, when mistakes did happen (every day) they were always rectified with promptness and charm .

Normally a lot more expensive but I got a very good price through Booking. It would not be quite as worth it at regular price. Ski lift right across the street!

There is truly nothing that is not perfect.

This is an unique hotel/resort with several restaurants - all with character and style, and with diverse menu's and cuisine. The wine collection is superb. There is a great wellness centre, and an Intersport ski shop in the building. The massive open fire place in the lounge - right across the cosy bar - is the meeting point after a day on the slopes. The first ski lift of the day is right across the main entrance. The hotel team is great and is there to help you 24/7 and make you feel home!

    - given the Gand Hotel standard of the place, the wellness area could be somewhat more extraordinary (e.g. see: Hotel Post in Leermos)

    - this is just an incredible place in Tirol: in the sum of all the little details you will realize what a real Grand Hotel standard is! - food and breakfast outstanding - atmosphere lovely with the fireplace and the hotel location hidden up in the mountains, but at main street and main St Anton skiing area - service as good as it get (handle everything: ski pass issuing, parking the car, organizing the luggage... just great!)

Personel and service were excellent! Room was warm, clean and spacious. Hotel restaurant very pleasant. Next to ski lifts. Ski rental and ski sotrage in the basement of the hotel. It is the most convenient and reliable hotel in the Alps I have ever been.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the building was tired, the bathroom was of a poor standard. The spa could have been better. Some staff good have been friendlier (although others were great). Breakfast could be better. The locks on the doors were awful - upgrade to key cards.

The bar and the live music were very good

Absolutely stunning hotel - high end service with authentic Austrian charm. Wonderful ambiance in the bar/restaurant area. Live music every evening, and wonderful special events. Great combination of luxury, sport, art and culture. Being family owned and managed, guaranteed that service levels will remain high. Planning our next visit.

The rooms, although we booked in economy double rooms, had sufficient space and all the conforts of a 5 star hotel. The bar and the restaurants of the hotel were beautiful and the service was excellent. In general, the staff of the hotel was so polite and professional that made our stay very pleasant, as they took care of everything we asked for. The location was great, as the shop for renting or buying ski equipment is in the basement of the hotel and so is the storage room, which is the most comfortable storage room I have ever seen, i.e. very warm, with couches to change boots etc, next to WC and few meters from the lifts and the slopes. The ski resort is also excellent with high quality snow. Also, the spa was great and the swimming pool as well (very warm water!).

Bathrooms are adequate but could use some updating and shower water pressure was poor. Spa facilities are OK but I would expect larger/better from a top end 5* hotel. We were charged 86 Euros per night for our 2 dogs (excluding food). No dog beds or bowls were provided, we had to bring our own. I think that charge is a bit steep for what amounts to some extra room cleaning. Buffet dinner on New Years Day was lavish but I would have preferred a proper service - queuing for 15 minutes to get my food in a 5* hotel is not what I want !

The location is fabulous, right opposite the St Christophbahn lift station. Room was large and comfortable with nice touches. Plenty of space for us and our 2 labradors thanks to the separate sitting area. Food and hospitality are amazing. Lobby bar with open fire is a lovely spot. New Years Eve gala was outstanding.
