The room and toilet were the smallest we had. We had with us a large and medium size suitcase. On hindsight, would be more comfortable if we had packed smaller bags for our stay and leave the rest in the car. Just to note: Parking is a shared public space. As the property is next o a public park, might be challenging to get spaces. This didn’t affect us. The hotel provides a parking ticket that allows use of several parking spaces within Obertraun which is useful if you are exploring the area.

The views of the lake are priceless! We could sit at our balcony all morning! The ferry is right at our doorsteps. We reached early and were very blessed to be given an early check in. We were offered complimentary breakfast as well. Really the highlight of our 3 week road trip of Austria!

There is no shed for bicycles. Bikes can be locked to the fence inside the garden, i.e. they can be kept secure, but not dry (providing you have a bike lock).

The hotel is fine with a stunning view to the lake. Location is very good, the hotel is just a couple of minutes walking distance from the railway station.

Wash room shower leaked

Extremely good View, and a very polite and helping neighbors. Forgot o book breakfast but got a better deal across the road and cheaper too. Boat ride is a must.

It was quite disappointed with my stay at this b&b. The room and common areas were not properly cleaned, which made the stay uncomfortable. It was also very noisy, making it difficult to relax or get a good night’s sleep. Considering the lack of cleanliness and the constant noise, I found the price much too high for what was offered. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place.

Location was great. Ferry, bus stop and train station are right there which is very convenient.

Very basic for the price paid. No kettle (which we knew about from other reviews) or fan (room very stuffy in hot weather. We had trouble opening the window in one room due to a broken blind withou midges coming in)- place could do with updating. Also name was confusing as it’s called something else to the title.

The only downside was that the bathroom door didn’t close properly the lock seemed broken. But apart from that, the space itself was fine and comfortable.

The place was nice overall. Self-check-in was smooth, and the instructions were very clear, it was easy and stress-free to enter. The location is good, and the price matches the quality.

Breakfast is quite expensive for what they have to offer, also kitchen staff didnt believe we had breakfast included , had to prove them for 15 minutes until they checked the system.

At this price, I would expect minimum facility like kettle in the room to make tea or coffee. There is limited restaurant or cafe nearby and breakfast room is closed after breakfast time is over.

Location is 10 out of 10. Quiet and peaceful, overlooking lake and mountains. Next to the train station and ferry terminal. Room was clean and has comfortable bed.

The pillows are quite uncomfortable, and a kettle in the room would have been greatly appreciated.

We could not eat all of our breakfast (we had paid extra for) and when we wanted to take away two sandwiches the staff did not allow it and wanted to make us pay 10 Euro for it. As we found this over the top we left the sandwiches which they threw in the bin. We found that outrageous.

Location was superb, views from the room and the balcony were unbeatable. Very convenient to travel to Halstatt as the boat leaves from right outside the hotel. Mr. Franz Josef was very friendly and enjoyed chatting with him. Free Parking is provided.
