The staff was really nice and the breakfast was good. Homemade jams and other things were available. Something for everyone.

Unique place and thought through. Every room is different and has small details connected to the theme.

The staircase is a bit noisy due to old wooden stairs, but the night was silent

Very good sense of combination of different subjects, decorations. You can find funny, nice, also valuable things everywhere around the house. Great location, facing to Mur river, with a nice wine restaurant on the groundfloor

The modernistic see-through door to the bathroom.

This is an inventive, one-of-a-kind stay in an ancient building where deal boards creak and one nearly gets lost in the labyrinthic corridors. Walls and boards are decorated with pistols, sextants and flea market stuff. The river Mur is nearby, so close that you can hear it's mumbling in the night. I wouldn't be surprised if the mansion is haunted by ghosts; unfortunately we didn't see one ...

Amazing place! Oldest building in town with history from 600 AD. Great feeling of history and full of collection items. Pitoresque doors all over and just generally unbelievable. The hostess and staff were very friendly and made you feel welcomed. Free parking on yard and situated just by stream with good walking.

Due to the nature of it being an old building, one could hear everything going on in rooms above and adjacent --- part of the charm of staying in a heritage home.

Why would you stay in a modern hotel when you can stay in a 1400 year old building lovingly restored? Every nook, every charming seating arrangement needed to be photographed. The location could not be better, with the river Mur in front and the town square behind. Add to that a very attentive staff and amazing breakfast.

Location is great, directly next to the river and in the center of the old town of Bruck an der Mur. 10 min walking distance the old ruin on the hill. The staff is friendly, and late check in was not a problem at all, as keys and instructions were provided. Breakfast was superb! But all that is not what is special or memorable about this place: it's the building itself! It was newly refurbished, and they used all kind of material from the old house itself, and reassemble or repurposed it in a very unique way. For instance my bed was inside a piano! It's impossible to describe how unique this place is, you just have to go and see for yourself. Absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a bit of unique experience.

In my room the toilet area is open, divided only by a screen and rather cramped, and in the other corner is a large bath, also open to the rest of the room. I assume this room is offered only to solo guests, in which case it works fine.

A really lovely old house full of interesting artefacts, very atmospheric. It is right on the river and literally a stone’s throw from the main square. The hostess is a friendly and charming lady. If you prefer hotels with personality and history, you will love this place.

My room’s layout doesn’t allow a shower but a bath tub. For me, it was a little awkward to take a shower in a tub that I can’t stand up.

The lady who owns the property was super nice, and the lady who was in charge of cleaning and breakfast was also super nice. The location is super convenient for a solo traveler who doesn’t have a car. Beautiful view of the Mur river.

The floorboards creak alot. We were woken by the person moving about at night in the room above. Do not come to Bruck on a Sunday if you're hungry - there are no restaurants open in the town on Sunday evenings, except a pizza takeaway. We settled for a toastie on the Hauptplatz.

An interesting old hotel, furnished with strange eclectic charm. We'd been upgraded to 'The Suite' which is a huge room with views south to the river and west. Excellent location next to the river and the Hauptplatz. Bike storage. Good breakfast in a small room which offered the rare opportunity to meet other guests.
