Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceA nice boutique hotel at the centre but at the same time situated on a small quite street. Easy access to underground and tram and walking distance to many museums and city attractions. The room was spacious and clean and with a very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and very polite and helpful personnel. Definitely great value for money.

ItalyNothing that I can think of.
My sister and I booked this hotel for two nights, and ended up extending our stay for a third night, with management confirming our initial rate. Our room on the first floor was very quiet, with two very comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom, which included terrycloth robes and big, soft towels. Coffee and tea are complimentary on the hotel's mezzanine level, where we sat to relax and read. The location is fabulous for touring Vienna. Perhaps the best part of the stay was the service - the front desk staff was very helpful in providing directions, booking restaurants, etc. I would definitely return here if I were to go back to Vienna.

AustraliaAn elegant expression of Viennese art and culture with a welcome warmth and yet moderately priced. The Hotel Beethoven was everything we could have wished for. It was a unique, boutique experience with creative décor that celebrated Vienna to the max. The staff - especially Bram on the front desk who helped us with many things including where to eat, tickets to view the stunning Gustav Klimt Beethoven frieze and an airline check in that was a little fraught - were exceptional in their friendliness and help in navigating the city. The room was comfortable and quiet. It is an easy walk into the centre of the city and very close to the famous Naschmarkt for delicious dining options. The breakfast offerings were also superb with something to suit all tastes and there is a very cool bar to enjoy in the evenings. We have already been recommending to family and friends.

SwedenThe lighting in the room can be improved. Bath towels rather small and of simple quality. Breakfast was generous but a bit pricey.
Excellent, family run hotel with very friendly staff and perfect location. Quiet room, comfortable bed and bed linen. Very cool bar. Boutique hotel feeling without a deterring price tag. Will gladly return for any coming visit to Vienna.

HungaryThe location is excellent, and the staff is very friendly. All the major museums and theaters are within walking distance. The room was quiet. Also my 6-year-old daughter very much enjoyed the little chaise lounge and the designer bathtub. Breakfast is plentiful and health-conscious. The bar also looks like a great time, but we were there with a child, so next time. The garage is not included in the price, but with the hotel discount, twenty-something euros for 24 hours is a very reasonable offer for a safe underground parking space (maybe a 2-minute walk from the hotel). It's a great place to stay, and we will surely stay here again.

NetherlandsThe room is really well equipped: most of all a big comfortable bed but also the highlight - the coffee set: the container with good coffee, milk, ceramics, and a beautiful Café Press, not to forget a 'kettle'. It is an elegant place with piano music and an evening concert!

EstoniaI liked the service staff at the check-in desk very much. It is difficult to explain, but somehow you get a special feeling, that they are not just someone for arranging services, but they are nice human beings, nice personalities, each with their own specific character. Location of a hotel is also excellent- quiet location in the city center. Will come another time with pleasure!

AustriaThe bar very beautiful) is not very suited for groups above 4 I would say (but that is clearly a detail)! Other than that, it is quite hard to find critical points.
What a great surprise. The staff (from reception to bar to breakfast to cleaning) was lovely. The hotel is very charming, decorated with special attention so it felt cosy and comfy. The rooms (we had booked 6 and we all had the same feedback) are good, spacious enough (was the cheapest rate), nicely decorated, clean. Bed and pillows were also good. The breakfast is offering a large choice, there is the possibility to get for example little pancakes and omelette freshly done at the demand (no extra cost involved), different types of breads, pastries, fresh muesli, fresh fruits, some veggies, ham & cheese variations, salmon... During the day coffee/tea and some cakes are available free of charge which is very enjoyable when check-in/out or coming back from a walk. We also tested the bar, cocktails were nice. The location is good as well - the main highlights of the center are easily reachable at walking distance! Pricing can vary a lot from one period to the other as I could observe. When the room price is til 170€ for two with breakfast, the value is more than excellent - I must say, even if prices are higher, the value is still great !
