To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Stunning views over the town. Only a short 50m walk to put skis on to then ski towards the piste. Friendly host. Clean apartment which was modern and warm.

United KingdomThe only downside that we found was the lack of washing machine (either in our apartment or communally). This meant that we had to pack sufficient clothes for over two weeks, which is a lot for a family of four, with two teenagers! The apartment is definitely a trek up a very steep hill if walking back up from town. Certainly we were all far fitter by the end of the holiday, but don’t underestimate how much of a challenge it is. We had a car, so getting shopping back to the apartment was manageable- it was hard enough walking back up the hill empty handed, and we’re all reasonably fit and healthy. Wi-Fi was patchy - best early morning and later at night. Good 4g reception everywhere.
Our apartment was very comfortable, especially the bedrooms. The shower areas were high quality and the beds were very comfortable, with a convenient single sofa bed in one room so our kids could sleep on separate beds. The lounge / dining area was also very nice, and the balcony had a comfortable sofa set to sit and admire the amazing views.

United Arab Emirates1. No one can talk to for any help. 2. No vacuum machine for cleaning.. Only brush. 3. No smart TV (no Nitflex). 4. Very weak internet wifi service. 5. Never find them on the contact number or email. 6. The shower without doors. 7. No left 8. It's high location not easy to walk back to the house 9. No washing machine. 10. They don't speak English only dutch language (German)
