Bring your own bathroom supplies as there are none provided. My mistake was not reading that the room was to be paid in cash and cash only. My bad, but hard to imagine someone not taking credit cards these days. Had to find an ATM to pay but no big deal as I should have read that before. Also check out is a hard 10A.M. not 10:05 or 10:15. You have to be out before or by 10 at the latest. Just an FYI.

Location was perfect. A very short walk to everything. Breakfast was very good with homemade goods and good food. Room was also very nice. Clean and minimal but comfortable. Yolanda and her family are lovely and charming. Would definitely recommend staying there.

Heating in the room was modest.

We had a decent room for 3 with a bathroom. Breakfast was included and it was fine, although the same options every day.

Heated ski boot storage would have been nice. Cash only payment is a bit inconvenient.

Great location, only about 5 minutes walk to the stubnerkogel lift and Felsentherme spa. Simple but clean rooms. Good home made breakfast. Small and homely hotel. Our room had a nice view over the mountains.

I had not known only cash was accepted for payment and the structure doesn’t provide soap.

Very friendly family owners. There was fresh homemade bread and marmalades at breakfast. The area is very quiet and our room with a tiny enclosed balcony had a mountain view.

The town was very quiet as it is not ski season and it was weekend so very little was open.

Very friendly family-owned B&B. A handwritten note welcomes you to the breakfast where new items (e.g. a local cheese or bread) are added daily. No warm food though. Rooms are cleaned every day. Nice shower. Top floor rooms have an amazing balcony for sunny afternoons. 5 min walk to ski lift.

There was only just enough parking with some guests parking on the road, although this did not cause a problem it would appear. Otherwise we had no complaints, note that it is cash only payment.

Jolanda and Gästehaus Golker treated us very well indeed. We had 2 comfortable and clean rooms, which were warm and had comfy beds and plenty of space. The views and/or balcony were very nice and the bathroom/shower was clean and met our expectations. Breakfast was simple and filling. It is a short walk to the main street in Bad Gastein and the bridge that takes you to the main ski lift, the Stubnerkogel, which is also where the Felsentherme is too. To make the walk even easier we utilised the very modern, secure, self-service and heated ski/boot/helmet storage depot above Sport Schober at the bottom of the Stubnerkogel lift (€35pp for 6 days). Note that there is dedicated ski storage at the Gästehaus (in an outhouse) but no dedicated ski boot storage. Several visits to Felsentherme made our week even more enjoyably and the many saunas eased our tired ski legs. A must visit restaurant is the Hofkeller for fondue and hot stone meat cooking at the table...

The Owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fabulous with homemade bread and a variety of selections to choose from. There was always plenty to eat and the food was very good.I would highly recommend this place.

Lot of stairs and no lift. It was not problem for us, but this is not place for people with bad knees.

Perfect location (5 min walk to ski centre, big shop, train station, bus, restaurants) nice breakfast, clean house, comfy bed in single room, little extra is walking trails and nordic 3.5k ski loop with ski rent near by (i used it on foggy day)

During check-in, the host behaved in a very disturbing and inappropriate manner. She greeted us wearing a sheer nightgown that did not cover her body properly, which made us extremely uncomfortable. Later, she insisted that I pay for four rooms, even though my reservation clearly stated three. When I tried to show her the booking confirmation on my phone, she suddenly started shouting and threw a wooden box at me, hitting me in the chest. Her behavior was aggressive and completely out of control. It seemed as though she had no ability to manage her emotions or actions.

We had the family room for 3, my teenager was stuck sleeping on a smaller than twin convertible hard bed. The “balcony” was tiny and enclosed and wasn’t what we expected. Unusable unless you’re a smoker. There is a house cat that was not mentioned. It doesn’t enter the rooms but it was in the lobby on check in. I’m allergic to cats but luckily didn’t have a reaction. My family didn’t like this place.

The location was within walking distance to the thermal baths and restaurants. My bed was comfortable.

A beautiful and pittoresque hotel which is very easy to access from the train station and the main roads. The city centre, the ski lifts and other facilities are within a 5 minute walk. I really felt welcomed by Jolanda and her family. The service provided was excellent, absolutely no complaints. The room was clean, spacious and had a great view on the Austrian Alps, perfect to wake up to! Vielen dank für alles, Jolanda! 😊

Very friendly and helpful host.. the mountain view room given was perfect for our stay. The location is close to the train station.. The host even helped us to apply for the Gastein card which save us money on transport and cable car ride.. Definitely recommend place to stay if you come to Bad gastein.
