Our room was on the road side so there was traffic noise. With the windows shut it was quiet.

Easy to walk into the centre of the city or to the main station. The staff were very helpful and we had a lovely breakfast.

The room furnishings were a little on the basic side, but as I said everything was very clean and we didn't spend too much time inside except for sleeping, so in the end we were satisfied with the room.

Nice family-owned hotel situated in walking distance to the Old Center of Salzburg. Big secure parking inside the premises. Breakfast was great, fresh eggs and all, and the hotel looks like it went through a renewal recently, it was very clean. The owners are nice people, gave us directions for the town center, including where to eat dinner.

We visited in February and the room was so warm that we had to use the provided fan whenever we were there, which was fine, but I wonder if air conditioning might be required in the hot summer. Also a small fridge in the room for storing medication, drinks etc may be useful. Tea and coffee facilities were provided, but no milk.

Very clean, nicely equipped rooms. The staff were superb, very happy, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good selection of cold meat, cheese, bread, fruit, yoghurt, cereal eggs and pastries. The location is excellent, with mountain views and being only a 10-15 minute walk from the historic city centre. Generally very quiet and peaceful

It's a great little hotel just out of the main area of Salzburg but the public transport thru town is amazing, so nothing seemed far. The room was clean and we has plenty of room and nice linens, The bathroom was a good size. There was no lift so we managed to get our gear to the first floor without any issues. the view from the room was lovely - beautiful garden area and looking over to a great monolith in the near distance. I would recommend this hotel and would love to stay again.

I would have preferred a hotel nearer the old town or at least on the river, but Salzburg was quite busy and affordable rooms in the best areas were difficult to come by. Two pillows each and a small fridge would have been helpful.

Whole hotel was very clean and tidy. Room was quite large and adequately furnished, with a largish bathroom. The location is OK, nice and quiet and between two main roads, so easy to catch the No. 4 bus to the old town, or No. 2 to airport or train station. Breakfast was also very good. This is a family run hotel with plenty of parking; both the staff and owners were very helpful, kind, knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to.

It was a great pleasure to return at the Hotel Ganslhof. The owner Mr. Thomas was as always very kind, welcoming and friendly. The hotel is close to the centre. It is in a quiet area. There is no noise. Relaxation. There is an internal car park. This is important and a big plus as parking spaces in the centre are expensive. The centre can be reached comfortably in 15 minutes on foot. Large and cosy room. Clean. Wi-Fi works well. Breakfast is plentiful and good.
