How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

The room was a little cold for my taste - especially after a long day of skiing - and I didn't find a way to increase the temperature. To be fair I'm the kind of person who usually feels cold when others already don't.
The owner is very friendly and the breakfast was nice. I especially appreciated the fresh and warm bread. The location is relatively close to the slopes, if you are find with walking 600 meters you won't have to drive. If you prefer to drive to to the slopes there is a very convenient parking option close to the hotel that is mainly used as an overflow, so you will probably find good parking spots even a bit later in the day. The hotel is at the back end of the village higher on the mountain, the view is simply stunning.

The lady who run the place was very hospitable. The place is very nice, clean, and the breakfast is great.

I loved the location of the place, very peaceful. Our room was cosy, comfortable and clean. We had a fridge, a microwave, an electric kettle and a hairdryer, extra blankets in case you are cold are available. Breakfast was fine too. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

We didn’t have a car so if you don’t have one be prepared for a good uphill walk from gondola and dinner in the village - but it’s great exercise!
Had an incredible stay for our ski trip! We were a couple travelling and had an extremely comfortable bed. Shower was small but worked well and breakfast each morning was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip!

Very nice location with an amazing view over the hills. Friendly, helpful owner that gave us a lot of good advice and was ready to accommodate all our requirements. We really enjoyed our Alpendorf sky trip and looking back to return. Breakfast was not that rich in choices, but quality local food provided.

The host was super nice. Great breakfest: warm fresh cofee, boiled eggs, vegetables, cheese and sausage, fresh bread and butter. the location is super nice, great restaurants at the places around. highly recommended!

The bathroom would need some improvements. I can accept that the toilet is separated, but please do something with the light switch. It was very uncomfortable to search for the push button behind the mirror. However, due to this separate toilet, the previous guest used the bathroom insteatd of the WC. The shower cabin was stinking of urine and I had to clean it with the shower. It is not the staff's fault there are such people, but I am sure this could have been avoided if the WC had not been located in a different room. It is a pitty I had to give a worse score than I wanted, because both the place and the staff were very good.
The size of the room was big enough. The staff was helpful.

The Staff is super friendly and attentive. Super complete breakfast, and if there is something you want that they do not have they bring it to you. The big room equipped with everything, fridge, microwave, kitchen ... It is only an hour from Salzburg and now I regret that I stayed only 2 nights.

Was a bit cold at the evening but it is understandable, in this time nights already cold but heating still not introduced.
The room is cozy and very clean. Nice view to mountings. There is comfortable bed. Very nice that available free parking near to house. We were pleased with breakfast.

Accessibility by public transport is difficult. The shower could have been better.
Very nice people, the house has a nice atmosphere and the surroundings are very beautiful. The breakfast was nice and varied.

The apartment was quite small and there wasn't any cooker/stove (the one in the apartment had to be turned off due to the local regulations). There was a microwave though.
The quality/price ratio was beyond our expectations. The house is very stylish and cozy, located in a quiet place with a beautiful view from the room. What's more, the room was cleaned everyday and towels were replaced too. Breakfast was very good and owners were taking care to keep everything available for all guests.

The Host is very friendly and I felt well cared. No problem with communication in English. The room was tidy and clean. The breakfast was decent and OK. Free parking at the entry to the building.
