Lovely hotel in a great location

No tea and coffee in the room although it was available in the lounge.

Great breakfast which met my expectations and more and the desk staff were so helpful and attentive. Great recommendations for places to visit and restaurants.

Basically the Kartnerhof is just a high priced B&B with some services. The rooms were OK but we're fed up with only so called 'walk in showers' where no thought is given to providing safety grab rails (in the shower) for elderly wobbly people like me (I'm now eighty) - and no baths !!! To be an excellent high priced B&B it needs a comfortable lounge and bar (in place of the current breakfast room) and sacrifice, say, one or two first floor rooms for breakfast.

Quiet. Good quality premises. V good breakfasts. Convenient location.

Our suite had beautiful parquetry flooring but it was incredibly noisy to walk on. We didn't have access to the AC for our first couple of nights and when it was turned on, it was very noisy. We had read reviews about the poor water pressure and difficulty adjusting the temperature of the shower. We did experience this a little, but we got used to it and for us it was not a huge issue. Breakfast room is delightful but small and at times crowded. It is a simple breakfast but certainly all that you would need, everything was enjoyable. Rooms would benefit from having a coffee/tea making facility and a bar fridge.

The hotel is visually gorgeous. We appreciated all of the decorative touches in the hotel, it is very attractive and our room felt very special. It was great to have a second bedroom for the children. The location is brilliant - a quiet street in the centre of Vienna. The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed breakfast every day. We really enjoyed our stay.

We would have liked a fridge in our room

Beautiful traditional hotel on a quiet but central street.Very friendly and helpful staff with a welcoming atmosphere, very nice breakfast with plentiful fresh fruit. Taxi to airport /train station arranged by reception came within 3 minutes. Overall wonderful stay.

Excellent location, spotlessly clean and excellent staff especially Erik who was extremely kind to my elderly aunt. Lovely rooms, basic but very clean.

I wish I could have more bright light. But I also understand the dim light makes the elegant atmosphere.

The location was perfect for our purpose—concerts, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. The receptionists were so friendly and very supportive. The lift was a good surprise. The breakfast was also good. I would love to stay this place again.

The hotel appears to be quite expensive but is good value compared to others in a central location.

The location is fantastic, central but quiet and lots of nice places to eat nearby. You can walk to all of the main sites from here. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful.

I wish I had window to the outside instead of to the inside the building. But, since I was in my room only for sleeping, I didn't get any disturbed.

The location hotel was great!!! It was only a few minutes to the center and the airport shuttle. İt was very easy to reach anywhere. Perfect to stay in Vienna. The service was great. Staff was very warm and helpful. Breakfast was just great and delicious. Beautiful freshly out of the oven breads and homemade jams were great addition into the buffet, and made a big difference. :) Rooms were clean and fresh. There was no noise. for a single room it was a great dimension very comfortable.

No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but samovar and a range of teas always available in the foyer.

The hotel is in a perfect location - 4 minutes walk to St Stephan’s and within 15 minutes walk of virtually every key sight. It is comfortable, relaxed and staffed by friendly, welcoming people. Our room was spacious, the bed was super comfortable and the breakfast plentiful. For an inner city hotel it was also quiet. Would really recommend the Kärntnerhof for a city break.

Location was excellent. I came for stem cell treatment and the clinic was just five minutes away. The room was lovely and homely and nice and warm. Cleaned daily.

By far the best advantage of the hotel is its central location. The main square and metro stations are all within short walking distance. The room was clean, tidy and more spacious than what we expected. Breakfast also had enough variety to satisfy us.

Breakfast was nice but the space was very small for the number of people so we were dancing around each other the access the buffet. Small point though!

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Lovely old building and very stylishly decorated. We had a suite with a second bedroom with 2 small sofa beds for the kids which was perfect for our family. The beds were bit narrow so better for smaller kids but it was fine for a couple of nights. The suite felt very spacious with a big hallway and large bathroom. We really enjoyed staying there! Very centrally located and there was a small supermarket just around the corner which was handy.

Low water pressure and no hot water sometimes.

Classic style. Excellent location. Breakfast was so nice with all you can drink cappuccinos! Many restaurants in the area as well. Very friendly staff!
